After how many years on prime, i finally drove my first NSX today!!! 3-July-04! :D I went for a little spin with fellow aussie Dippy9 and we took plenty of photos (coming soon).

What can i say.... umm..... it was everything i hoped for?! :D You guys are right -- 2nd gear ROCKS!. I was also VERY impressed with the amount of visability of the road. And the NSX is definitely a guy-magnet (we had one dude drive up and take some photos too). Dippy is married so we couldn't go picking up chicks! :p LOL. jk And if Dippy says i stalled it three times, he's lying! ;) :D

I guess i'll say more when i finally get out of this state of blissful nsxtasy. :D

Thanks Dippy for the fun trip; that's the highlight of the year for me..... so far... ;)

Some older pix of Dippy's black '91 NSX posted here

Yeah, now i finally feel like i'm "one of da boyz". :D

The NSX is AWESOME to drive. It's so low my butt got gravel-rash. :p

Enzo : it was a perfect black NSX, except there no candle on the roof to blow out. :p :D

Yes "light" forged wheels with tons of heavy rubber on it! The 255/60/17 are very heavy tires! :p :p :p :p

No, you're wrong ! 255/40/17 !You know... the 02 NSX Type-R tires size ! ;)

Hey Giuseppe, I will let you try my NSX when we will meet at Grindelwald at the end of August...be ready to cry when you will get back your NSX! :D

See you soon,

I know... I know... it is something very moving (like winning a gold medail) going back from a normal transmission to the japanese short gers. Specially when you shift from 2nd to 3rd... :p

I will cry for sure! :D

Yes, sure ! :D :P

However, it would be better if you could have a chance to drive a fast car ! Maybe something like a F355 (if possible without SUV wheels)! ;) I would be more confident to handle you the key of my NSX if you have an experience with driving something fast before our meeting ! :D :D :D :D :p :p :p

i have no idea what gheba and enzo are on about. but i'm glad they're enjoying themselves. :p

Where in Melbourne did you guys go?

:D I drove VERY safely. We had grandma's driving past me. ;)

We drove to Malvern Central Park and Caulfield Park. Oh john, have you ever driven an NSX??? Now i know why there's so many guys with the rego plate NSXTASY... :D

Thanks again Dippy!!! Your car ownz the road (when you're driving it). :D

Way to go NEO!!!! Feeling a bit closer to achieving your dream now?

Mate, as yet I haven't had the pleasure of taking an NSX for a spin. I've always been tempted to test drive one at a car yard.....I just haven't got around to doing it. :(

.......God I hope Dippy reads this....hint....hint!!!

> Congrats Neo! You've finally lost your NSX virginity!

:o *blush*
the ride was as good for me as it was for the NSX. :p

akira3d : Absolutely. As you said in an email to me three years ago (and i quote from memory) that meeting with NSX owners makes the dream seem more attainable. I've always believed that, and yesterday's drive just cemented that belief even further. The NSX is not a fluffy 'dream', but a personal goal & promise. I know i've thanked you many times Eric, but thanks again for not blowing me off and putting me off the NSX community for good.

Cosentino : lol, Dippy is EVERYBODY's best friend now. :D He said he won't be on prime until tomorrow, so that gives you less than 24hrs to think of some good reasons why he should let you take his 'X' for a spin. :D I think he wants to play with your GTO... ;) If you can get NSXBOX to come on the Ocean Rd drive, i'm sure dippy will owe you! :D :D LOL

The Great Ocean Rd drive is going to be the NSX drive of this Century!!!!

forgot to add... i couldnt' sleep last night; my mind was retracing the drive and conversation.

today i had to pick up a mate at 9:10am... except i arrived at his house at 8:10am... i was an hour early! stupid me got up too early -- it's the NSX's fault! :D

On the way home i drove down princes hwy again; in the same lane we drove the NSX in. My mind pretended i was in the NSX again :D ...but my car is not low enough, my car's 2nd gear is totally gutless (vs the NSX), and my engine sounds like a civic in comparison. i'm spoiled now... i need an NSX. :D

*sigh*.... patience neo, patience.... :D

Congrats mate!

GOR drive ! Yeah baby ... Question is when I definitely want to do it and I also want to do Tasmania but September 18-19 I'll be in Melbourne for Autosalon.

I've always wondered if my NSX has the JDM gearing or not..

Neo if your a good boy may even get a quick squirt in the NS"X"BOX!

I have a raging appetite for an NSX now. And it's all Dippy's fault! :D He didn't tell warn me it's more addictive than a hard-drug.

NSXBOX : i'll be good! :D i'll be good!

:p

A quick squirt in it though??? maybe i dont want to know what that means.... :D

did u get my number?

Congrats NeoNSX!

I'm not surprised at all when you said you didn't sleep and woke up early because your brain is making a lot of work in processing all that thrilling and addictive new experience so now everything you have read and will read about the NSX will be considered differently.

I wish you the chance to drive an NSX again and ultimately acquire one!

How did you enjoy the engine sound?

and its crisp handling?

and its powerful braking?

and its ergonomy ( like the shifter feel ) ?

and its continuous acceleration?
