My HP Evo's have finally came in, they are getting mounted right now and I'm going to pick them up tommorow, but I still don't have any spacers. Is there any way to run them without spacers? I've already waited so long just for the rims... but if I have to I guess I can wait longer before putting them on.

Congrats! You are going to have to run 3mm spacer front and rear. Unless you shave down your calipers. Post pictures when you're done.

Thanks, I'll definately post pictures. I have 5mm spacers coming, I thought I told him 3mm, will that be a problem?

Maybe one of the tire retailers on here can sell me a set of spacers and send them overnight.

What year is your car? Nevermind. I see you have a 91. Some models can run a 3mm and some run a 5mm. I run a 5mm. I think there was a change in the brakes in 97. The earlier years use the larger spacer. Do NOT try to run them without spacers. They will scrape the hell out of your calipers and the backs of your wheels. The rears dont need it but the fronts definitely do. Most people including me run a spacer in the rear just to bring it out a little bit. Keep the 5mm ones you ordered. Those will be the ones you need. Post some pics when there on. The evos are stupid heavy but they look awesome.

Guys, Do 3mm and 5mm have to be hub centric? or you only need hub centric or wider that 5mm?

Thanks

Hubcentric is always better.
I used the cheap non-hubcentric that came with my Evo's and we couldnt balance.
Once we put the H&R's in it was balanced.

Do (who) makes hub centric for 3mm? that is pretty thin!
I am getting my HP's soon.
Thanks again.

5mm was the smallest HubCenrtric I was able to find.

H&R hubcentric 5mm are the way to go... If you wanted you could machine them down to 3mm, but don't waste the time. I ran the cheap-o spacers, and was much happier with the H&R. You still have sufficient thread engagement with the 5mm spacer.

How heavy are the Evo's?

I found this...

Today I was curious to see how much my wheels weight. I'm running the HP Evos 18X8.5 and 19X9.5 with the Dunlop Direzza. Fronts were 46lbs, and rears were 55lbs (with tires). Can't wait til my IForged comes in.
