I have tried years ago molding on top of bondoed areas. Bondo is pourus and leaves moulds with a not so smooth area regardless of how smooth you sand it. I have tried up to 3k grit with same results. I would suggest sealing it and providing a cover surface IE: Prime/Paint/clear for a better result without the possibility of wasting materials and going back to the drawing board or additional prep work prior to your final tool/part making in carbon. I have been successful only less than a handful of times (unsealed bonded areas) working on timelines and having to provide more downtime because of preparations. Lesson learned!

With a possible blown head And with winter around the corner looks like I'll have some time to actually finish the console.
