Mugen NSX RR concept

ugly. downright ugly.

i am not a fan of the "let's add flares and fins ALL over the car and make it look, literally, like a fish out of water" approach.

Yea... and I'm not a fan of beating a dead horse. A new sports car already Honda. I'm so freakin sick of reading about the great, wonderful, amazing, mindblowing, super-duper, every-other-car-in-the-world-beating GT-R.

...functional radiator vents and functional wheel well vents. I guess function should always follow form.

yes yes... i agree that function comes before form. but it doesn't necessarily have to come at the expense of form. i am not hating on the usefulness of any of it... just expressing that it looks terrible to my eyes

there are plenty of examples of good looking functional body modifications that dont make a car look like something that's about to be served on a sushi plate.

simply put...stuck in the 90's

a complete waste of time

People did it with the HSC too. No one is ever happy. That's why i say make your own. Modding is the way to go.

Interior anyone?

has anyone got/been able to find some good photos fopr the interior of this car please?

I've seen one distant shot and it appears to have a very nicely modded centre console.

Thanx, Paul

I was reading this article on Vtec.net and I think the guy hit the nail on the head with the fact that Honda can't escape the "LEGEND" of the NSX. It really does dog them constantly.

Instead of doing an evolutionary update ( HSC with 3.5 ) Fukui supposedly listened to outside influence that people wouldn't buy it due to it's HP they just canceled it. This began the descent as other legends like the 911 Porsche didn't listen to outside influence and just kept doing the 911 that has it drawbacks true but best thing to do with a legend is stick to the core formula and just keep improving it.

Being competitive they decided to go after the R35 and people howled like there was no tomorrow. Even if they did go back to mid engine for the performance people want the price is way too high for most of the howlers and they would complain about that. It's so bad now that it's best to do nothing. Sports cars aren't selling that great in the current market so best to focus on other things until someone internally comes up with something the public likes.

Which probably won't ever happen ..LOL

For the record, I'm was all for the HSC concept and still am.

It's too bad everyone complained about it when the concept came out.

Modifying the NSX now by Mugen is yesterday's news. Everyone is waiting for something NEW!

You're right.

Dude, Honda can't get the name "Legend" out of "Legend."

Honda built iconic cars and they held so much value in each owner's heart and they refused to get out of them. They rather keep those cars forever.

Prelude, NSX, Integra, Civic, CRX, Legend... Those are cult cars.

If today, Honda still sell new 1988 Prelude Si and Accord Si Hatchback, I'll buy one of each!!!

Sorry brotha!! You just contradicted your self because HSC is a re-skinned NSX with a stroker kit in there. It was not going to be fast and most likely, Honda would have prevent the car from being heavily modified, which makes it slower than a well moded NSX. This time around, Mugen did not make this car look like NSX in drag. Instead, they offered the public a possibility of a car that is closest thing to a JGTC car.

If that was not stucked in the 90's, I don't know what is...

Oh yeah, tell Porsche their 911 is stucked in the 70's.

I said HSC CONCEPT! It was a natural next step.

You left out the S2000 dude.

This dosen't look like a 2.4

I just answer the question what I have read about the engine :) .
V6 2.4.

I think it looks good. I think it would look fantastic if mounting the engine longitudinally (and eating the trunk) makes room for a modern 400hp+ engine.

That said, I don't see how it is relevant to my life. Honda is not going to spend millions to put this car into production.
