How long do these meetings normally last? Do we go get something to eat afterwards?
I just ran a mapquest and it says from my hotel room to SC Acura is 40mins. I should probably leave around 5pm then huh??

The problem with Mapquest is that they don't figure in rush hour.

If you're staying up in LA and you want to come down to OC at 5pm, even with the carpool lane it might take an hour and half.

I would allocate two hours and figure on getting there early as a worst case scenario.

The meetings usually last about 2-3 hours. I used to commute to El Segundo from So. County. Use to leave ES around 4:00 to 4:15 and would make it home in 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. SCA is 20 miles closer than my commute. So the following time schedule should work, assuming there are no major TAs and the weather is good. If you are driving solo then you should leave no later than 4:15 PM or 4:45 PM if car pooling.

Thanks for the heads up. I will leave earlier then. I will be having the wife in tow with me.
If the meetings normally last 2-3 hours, are we at the location (dealership) that long or do we meet there, mingle for a while then head for some grub? I wouldn't mind talking the whole time but I don't think the wife could stand it for that long.

SCA is very nice to us, they had always have something for us to snack on.

I'm in Redondo Beach now. If anybody would like to meet me here and drive down or let me follow them down tomorrow that would be nice. I have directions down but would be better to follow. Either way, I hope to see everyone there tomorrow.

Sorry everyone, South Coast Acura said they will NOT be able to conduct the Canyon drive safety inspections during our meeting tomorrow night.

Oh well... We tried.

P.S. South Bay Acura in Torrance WILL do the inspection for FREE! Call them at (310)539-3636 and ask for the Service Dept. or Jon Martin personally.

Thanks for trying Steve! We appreciate your effort.

Just talked to Anytime and we can bring the release forms and tech inspection sheets to SCA and give them to ss_md.

Really shocked about the types of cars out here in CA. I have Bentley GT's and lots of Ferraris. However, I have only seen 3 NSX's in 3 days. Two on the first day and then a Silver one today parked on Hollywood Blvd. They are even more rare than I thought.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Calvin and Steve,

Thanks for setting things up and coordinating with SCA. Great to see new and old faces.

I had a great time out there guys !! I was happy with the turn out that we had even though I understand that there are normally more.
Was very nice meeting everyone and putting a face to a name finally.
If only the guys in my area would be willing to do something like this on a monthly basis....
BTW 405 N was a lot faster going home that is was coming down.
