Month of Mod'z...

I've had some time to kick-back and actually do the mod'z on my NSX that I had planned for the past year. I simply planned-planned-planned, no action. Before I knew it, I had a pile up parts, materials, tools, and so on making it impossible to move around in the game-room & garage.

Here's what's on tap for August... hope to have all done by Labor day!


INTERIOR:
- Recondition seats w/ oils/conditioner
- Re-dye seats onyx & seal bolsters w/ clear shoe-wax
- Steering-wheel rewrap/add'l padding w/ perforated pattern ala‘97+ using Midnight-black Alcantara, unique emblem at base of middle spoke
- Cracked-dash-trim: CF-overlay or molded piece
- Stowage on firewall (center-speaker compartment space)
- Install shift-boot made of 4x4 twill Carbon-Fiber & NSX-R'style titanium ball shifter
- Install AutoVation Machined-Series racing pedals w/ 'H' logo embossed
- Acquire OEM NSX-R'style floor-mats in red & gun-smoke border-threading, no logo; add unique emblem on middle right margin & titanium-tone eyelets at base
- Harness-bar setup for 4-point attachment of racing harnesses (Dali Racing harness bar & driver's/passenger's Simpson 5-point SFI camlock black harness belts w/ pad for crotch-belt )
- Hard-wire & stealth install of V1 radar detector (Carbon-Fiber stealth-box w/ mount on harness bar?)
- Re-do: A-pillar & B-pillar trim, visors, and roofliner in Tri-axial Carbon-Fiber
- Replace vinyl door-panel inserts w/ Ebony black Alantara & recover the two window-garnish pieces (triangular)
- Overlay Carbon-Fiber over OEM instrament console bezel
- Paint OEM instrament console gauge rings satin/sateen silver
- Replace OEM speedo' w/ Euro/JDM-spec' 320kmh version (hope to add filters for every 20-25mph increments, darker orange; add filter to 8500rpm also, due to 'chip)


EXTERIOR:
- Carbon-Fiber Acura emblem on front-bumperr
- Acura logo emblem on center tail-light
- Install Zanardi/Type_S door-emblems
- Redo engine cover: two windows on sides w/ Aluminum-mesh (smoke-annodize) & one center window of clear-lexane; overlay frame/structure w/ 1x1 twill Carbon-Fiber
- Urethane-mesh side-vents & front-bumper openings
- Refinish calipers smoke-annodize / ‘NSX’ gold-metallic
- Repaint coolant-bottle silver & add chrome annodize billet cap-cover
- Replace engine oil-cap w/ 2-tone gunmetal/black billet JDM-style cap
- Smoke-annodize valve covers
- Install GReddy'style oil-catch tank
- Overlay engine fuse-box cover & air-box cover uni-directional Carbon-Fiber
- Modify OEM RWG vents & overlay w/ 2x2 twill Carbon-Fiber
- Install '02-'05 OEM trunklid mini-spoiler & re-cover in 2x2 twill Carbon-Fiber
- Install re-styled '02-'05 OEM rear valance
- Install '02+ NSX-R rear-valance diffuser
- Install DownForce license-plate mount (FRP -> Berlina black)


PERFORMANCE:
- Replace OEM cast-iron exhaust-manifolds w/ ZTek SS headers
- Replace OEM ECU-chip w/ NA1 NSX-R Mugen ECU-chip
- Install newer Cobalt Friction GT-Sport pad replacements (when available)
- Install NSX-R chassis-bars
- Replace OEM sway-bars w/ street/track set


LIGHTING:
- Philips Ultinon 6000K Xenon HID's for low-beams
- Replace OEM 9005 high-beam white-bulbs w/ 3500k halogen yellow-bulbs
- Replace OEM combo-light bulb w/ 5-LED refractive disperse bulbs (to match HID's)
- Replace all festoon 3022 interior LED’s...
red: doors & driver’s footwell, UV: glovebox compartment & ashtray
white: dome & trunk
- Install clear-reflector side-markers w/ Super high-flux amber LED (yes, soon will be available to all...)
- Replace OEM red side-marker bulbs w/ 6-LED Ultra-white bulbs


SOUND:
- Remove center-speaker & disconnect from amp’
- Blitzsafe HON/ACU V1D aux. input to OEM head-unit w/ cd-changer & mp3 player
- Coin-tray holder for mp3 player
- Fix cassette-player motor
- Polish/buff head-unit buttons/knobs
- (2) powered subwoofers (Clarion or Kenwood)
- Antenna clean/lube & add 'Scooby

DIY-madness...

I wish, I want a early Christmas too

Christmas was last summer ('05)... Advan Model 5's, Zanardi/Type_S suspension, Taitec JGTC Parallel exhaust, DownForce AIS, and lightweight dimple-slotted rotors...

I'm hoping '07 brings BBK, H.U.D., 'possibly' Type-S Zero seats, and some sort of safe/reliable NA-juice'up (I know, slippery-slope w/ pain-per-gain ratio). I *think* I'd be 101% complete then!

Can't wait to see the results!

I think you may be dreaming with a list that long.:biggrin: A lot of that stuff, although fairly simple, will end up taking longer then expected. But good luck and pics are needed with a list like that.:wink:

Only at first blush. It's the little details that do it for me! I'm particularly excited about the following little bit:

I haven't seen any new pics of the red-devil in the desert lately! I told my friend in Fountain Valley to keep an eye'out for it! =)

I took it for a spin today. I got caught on the road in a love pentagon that included a yellow C6-Z06, silver XLR, black Gallardo, black F430 spider, and my all red NSX.
