Montgomery Alabama??

Has anyone every been to Montgomery, Alabama? Is it nice? Do we have any NSXers there?

I am thinking of taking a job transfer there and I have never been there. The climate seems to be about the same as where I am now. Just wondering what the city is like..

I must say some parts are nice but overall it's a not so big southern town. Personally, I wouldn't move there. They do have a killer Thai restaurant in downtown Train station though

Have you ever been to monroe louisiana?? This place is pretty awful. I cannot imagine Montgomery being worse.

Anyway, Thanks for your reply. I might not have any choice to move, so I will do what I have to do to stay employed.

Anyone else been there?

Montgomery is pretty typical for smaller (ie ~85,000) southern town. Dichotomy between old south and new. Capitol city. Alabama Shakespeare Festival Theater in town, one of the nicest in the country. Birmingham about 65 minutes north on I-65. Auburn 90 minutes away, Atlanta ~2hrs on I-85. Beach less than 2 hours (Mobile-Gulf Shores, Panama City-Destin). Been 7 years since I have been there, probably much nicer now. Greatest concentration of cow-calf operations, bible belt and great soil. Floods a fair amount. Yada Yada Yada.

I'll be moving outa here back to San Antonio, Texas at the end of March by myself.
