Missing TB cover gasket solved the elegant way

We did a complete TB job on a friends car where one gasket has been missing from a prior TB job done by another mechanic years ago who let engine in. We've pulled the engine this time to do a major job. We didn't have the gasket, so what to do? We just reused the head cover gasket which is of similar thickness and cut it to the right length. See pic.
