Is there much hp gain with just adding headers to a 91' and keeping the stock exhaust ? Like it quiet.

You should look around for a late model complete system. It's much nicer than the early models IMO.

Still wonder what gains there are to be had with just headers ? Also, what gains if any ,if the oem muffler is replaced with something like a Flowmaster still using the oem plumbing from cat back ?
an oem system from a 3.2 will fix your issue (+20 hp) and not make it any louder.

Somebody out there must know what the gains are with just headers vs headers and exhaust also about my question about just changing the muffler of the OEM exhaust to a freeflow type such as a flowmaster etc. Help me out guys.
