Re: Mile High NSX!

I cant comment on the weather questions, but for sure this NSX is in desperate need of some detailing TLC! I've seen less swirls on an Ice Rink:eek:

Good thing is that if the body is straight and original, you can achieve this and maybe reduce the price into the bargain.

Good luck in persuit of your new NSX.

regards

Re: Mile High NSX!

I suggest you post in the regional section that includes Colorado.

I believe prime member my1stnsx (Thuan) has looked at this car.

It's been on the market since last November....

Re: Mile High NSX!

This forum is great. I would have never knew that! Thanks Guys I will do so.

Re: Mile High NSX!

The car needs some detailing for sure, but thats easy - pay a pro a few hundred bucks and the paint will look great.

The Fikse FM/10 wheels are a good bonus.

The asking price seems reasonable, and you might be able to get this one for under $40K.

Have it checked out, look for maintenance records.

Re: Mile High NSX!

I don't know the car...but the dealer is a small shop here...lots of higher end cars but most don't strike me as being in A condition...

As far as the drive, right now, in case you missed the news...we've had 3 major storms in the past 4 weeks...lots of snow on the ground but highways are mostly dry, so driving this out of Denver is certainly doable, depending on which direction is home?...I wouldn't want to head west across the mountains right now...

Let me know if you want me to check this car out...and post where you are driving to and we might be able to route you there safely...good luck...Mike

Re: Mile High NSX!

The only thing that would really stick out in mind is the effects of a car being in Colorado weather. I guess you'll want to check inside the wheel wells and the under body for signs of deterioration. Living here in Texas were "blessed" with hot and dry weather, which if you garage a car (out of the Sun) it can have an excellent exterior even 15 years later. But many of you know the what that constant rain, ice, and salt/gravel can do to a car.

Yeah Hofffam, I PM'd hime and saw a carfax post that he was involved. You da man hofffam for showig me that.

I appreciate all the help. I will be a Great NSX owner can't wait.

Have a Great Weekend Everyone!

Yea, looks like it was a Calif car till about 50k, Feb '06.
Then hit the auction run finally landing in Co, with a few dealers miles added on.

Just make sure you get a good PPI if you think of buying this one. It's for sale at a dealer who's average car sells for around $8-10K, so obviously it wasn't traded-in and probably came from an auction. I'll bet with no maintenance history. So, could have easily been wrecked, etc.
Good luck

That's what I had a feeling about, especially it looks like it was originally Leased. and why would it have been Auctioned? So it raises so many questions. Still waiting on My1stNSX to give my a lowdown.

Great feedback keep it up guys!

Hey guys,

Long time browser, first time poster here. I'm another Denver resident and wanted to add my two cents about weather. During winter conditions, we'll use gravel on the roads. If you don't wait long enough to drive your car, you may end up with a series of rock chips. Even though we can get clear bras for the car to try and prevent chips, it doesn't cover the front bumper. If it was driven during winter or even spring months, you may have to repaint. Just a FYI.

Blessed with hot & dry weather huh ???...like that ice storm you had over the weekend ?
and B.T.W. - most if us in CO. (if not all of us) do not drive our NSX in the ice, snow or even rain; and some wait until the gravel is removed from the roads..........

I think you are mistaking that dealer for someone else.
This is a very LOW end dealer.
Of almost 100 cars, they only have 3 listed at more than $22,000, and as someone else mentioned, most cars are 8k - 10k.
It's a good price for a 2000, though.
