MIA: Pennzoil Ultra

I think that is their marketing term for the oil being made from Natural gas which is suppose to be way more pure than even the most refined mineral oil like Pennzoil Ultra old formula.
AFAIR, this is the 1st time I've seen Roger Penske endorsing a product in a commercial

BATMAN, following the natural gas logic, does it mean once i move to Mendocino county i should cool the steam and use it for my cannabis plants?:biggrin:

There are hella celebrities like the Ferrari director, etc that are putting their name on Pennzoil.
These guys all have $$$$. tons of it. It's their reputation that is priceless.

I thought the same. That guy is amazing and I'm really surprised that there isn't a biography about his life. The closest one is "Unfair Advantage" by Mark Donohue.
Looking for more info on BTOG about the PurePlus version of Ultra Platinum. Given the level of purity, I'd think that protection is certainly enhanced.

I found (Platinum & Platinum PurePlus) on the shelves this afternoon
at lunch at Wal-Mart Highland Village, TX for the same price of $25.17
each. I'm assuming Platinum Pure Plus is better than just Platinum?
Any ideas Guys?

I used the pure plus oil today and it looks different, heck it even smells very different

So whats the general consensus, Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra is better?
Pennzoil Ultra is better than Pennzoil Platinum. It appears that they have been replaced by Pennzoil Ultra with PurePlus technology and Pennzoil Platinum with PurePlus technology, respectively, so it stands to reason that Pennzoil Ultra with PurePlus technology is better than Pennzoil Platinum with PurePlus technology, and that both are better than the versions they replace.

On the Pennzoil website, you will find promotions for $10 back on the purchase of five gallons of Pennzoil Platinum and on the purchase of an oil change using Pennzoil Platinum. Presumably both apply to the versions with or without PurePlus technology, but not to Pennzoil Ultra. Also, both offers are valid "at participating locations only". In the past, they have used this restriction to prohibit rebates for purchases at Walmart, which usually has the lowest prices on oil, especially when purchase by the five-quart jug.
