MDX question: Retrofitting DVD theatre system

I'm thinking of getting an off-lease MDX which doesn't have the DVD theatre system. How easy would it be to retrofit that option?

The surround sound...

My sister has an MDX with the DVD Surround sound in it, and I think that it sounds better than the system that I have at home..... It's really amazing!
