I just saw your post. That would be great, particularly if know the track! Sebring was a treat, but difficult for me because the apexes were not viable from a distance due to the walls ad barricades LOL! I'm only running on the first day or I run my rear tires flat again on the way home like I did when returning home from Orlando, and if my wife and I go to Canada to visit her relatives after NSXPO, I'll have to TireRack ship some new rear tires to a city on the way home LOL. Don't tell anyone, but there is a chance I will go to NSXPO but not in my NSX. My car is still getting a new OS Geiken clutch and LSD installed, and I'm worried it wont get done in time! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hey, Doc I'm not sure if your heard, but on the fifth day on our way to NSXPO my wife, who has Alzheimer's, could not handle the long drive and wanted to go home. We got as far as Rapid City SD when I turned around. Craig and Alan continued on. I was very disappointed, but it was the right thing to do. San Francisco might be too far for you to drive, but if you do, I'll see you next year!

wow no I did not hear that..well good decision to turn around...see you next year.

It has been a while since I have provided an up-date on my NSX. I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that I recently learned that one of my cylinders only has 95 PSI compression. The good news is that I just put down a deposit on a custom-engine that is currently being built. The new motor is projected to generate 450 RWHP using my existing Comptech Supercharger. The motor is actually designed to generate over 650 RWHP with a turbo system, but 450 is more than enough for this old fart. In addition to giving me more horse power, which will help give me more speed on the straights and out of the turns, the down time will be really short compared to if I were to have my current motor re-built. The new motor will be installed in late January, just in time for the first AROSC Time Trial track event of the 2018 season. The new motor specs are as follows:

• Custom 3.2 Motor Built by Applied Motorsports & COZ:
• 3.0 Block bored to 3.2 with Closed Deck Darton Sleeves
• 3.2 Crank
• 3.2 Titanium Rods
• Wiseco Pistons, 93mm
• Cometic Head Gaskets
• Rotating Assembly Balanced and Blueprinted
• New WP, TB, Tensioner, Gaskets & O Rings.
• Custom Intake Manifold
• Injector Dynamic Injectors
• Large Capacity Baffled Oil Pan
• Over-bored Throttle Body
• Custom built heads:
• 3.2 valves
• Stoptech Springs & guides
• Ported and Polished

The other mods to be installed along with the new motor include an intercooler, oil cooler and a standalone ECU. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of this work.

What’s going on with this build Mario? How is everything coming along?

Completion of the new motor has been delayed a couple of months and now will be available to install at the end of March or possibly at the beginning of April. The various components are out the various machine shops. The inter-cooler has been ordered. My new larger diameter Angus 100 Cell High-flow Cats and exhaust are getting ceramic coated. I'm getting a little anxious, but all of this is out of my control, but it will be worth e wait!
