you have to be in the mood to drive the Viper- especially with my 1000 HP clutch-
The Gen III viper is not IMHO a crappy car but it has to be manhandled a bit and shifts on the slow side.
The NSX is a little underpowered for us HP junkies (which I plan on fixing next week with a kit from Angus) but is smooth, easy to drive fast and if you care, turns heads at least as much as a Viper.
I would not consider them substitutes for each other-
Is the NSX paid for? If so, with the economy the way it is, this is a simple choice. If you want a different look for an NSX, buy a G2. They made fewer than 900 between 2002 and 2005.
