My malfunction indicator lamp came on last week. There does not seem to be a problem with my gas cap(the owners manual said to check this first). Any ideas of what I should try before taking it in??? I have a 1999 NSX-T with only 4500 miles. Bought it 3 months ago with 3500 miles.

Thanks

It can be a number of things. First you can refit the gas cap and make sure it is tight. If this is the problem the Check light will probably reset itself after two "trips", which is running the car up to temp. Shutting down and repeating the "trip" If the ECU does not detect an issue for two trips it will reset the light and all is well.

However the Check light can come on for a number of things. It would be best to hook up an OBDII scanner to get the code, then decide what to do. I am thinking the car is under warrranty, if so, just bring it in for a scan and have them take care of it:).
