Major Maintenance/Service Question

Holy smokes.

I am being quoted 2300 for the TB/WP, another 400 for valve adjustment - this from an Acura dealership with a solid mechanic/tech. The more I read, the more I need to rethink my decision to work with them. Heck, the delta on the cost is enough to pay my storage/garage for six months or more.

Update - and thanks to NSXtasy (KS) and JDCross (JC) for helping me to evaluate the quote - I basically misunderstood. The dealer is quoting ~$2500 all in for TB/WP & Valve adjustment jobs and including parts for this as well as a new crank pulley and spark plugs.

My car has over 100k on the clock since the last major service. So, peace of mind is very important to me. I expect to drop the car this next Wed and get it back Thursday afternoon.
