Main Relay, fuel relay, AEM unit, electrical...?

I'm finding that when the car is heatsoaked, after about 30 minutes of driving, when I turn the car back on, often times, the loud @$$ Walboro fule pump does NOT turn on. Not surprisingly, when I try and turn on the car, it does it's best and since ther's still a little fuel in teh combustion chamber/injectors, it runs for a second or two.

I flip the key on and off, and sometimes the fuel pump DOES come on. Still, even those times it fails to start fully (which is strange..)

Luckily, if I reset the ECU via the 7.5 jumper, it comes back on and works

Thoughts? Car has too many miles, about 90K, main relay probably not replaced.
Yes, I've been mucking with the AEM, but nothing that should affect the fuel pump not coming on when it's warm..

When you turn the key from off to the run position, just before turning to start, do you hear the fuel pump run for something like 2 to 4 seconds? If not, I'd first check the main relay.

Its very easy for anyone who works with electronics to reflow the solder joints on the main relay board. That's a simple & cheap place to start your troubleshooting.

Yep, that's exactly what's happening - the fuel pump is not turning on. My gut was that it was the main relay as well.

NEW: Main Relay, fuel relay, AEM unit, electrical...?

Well I started having the problem with starting my car about a week and a half ago, seems like I read several things about the car starting but immiediately dieing afterwards. I swapped the main relay confident that it was the culprit. Nope I was wrong. I turn the ignition to on for a few secounds and I think I hear the fuel pump turn on for a couple of seconds and then I hear "click"(relay click) and the fuel pump turns off, sometimes the car will start sometimes it just dies afterwards. thoughts

PS what does the fuel pump sound like??? want to make sure I am actually hearing the fuel pump and not something else.

Do a search on Prime on how to disassemble & clean your ignition switch.

I'd describe the fuel pump as sort of a loud hum. If you hear a rat-tat-tat sound, like old Lucas fuel pumps, that could be the anti-lock brake pump motor running for a few seconds.

I can't seem to find a thread for the ignition switch? Is there anything else easy I can do or check?

I was in a hurry yesterday; I know the thread was there because I used it & commented on it when cleaning my ignition switch last year. So, here it is. Hope it helps.

Now I'm not picking on you, but all I did was enter "ignition switch" in Search, and this was the second item listed. I've seen threads where others have had weird things happen with search.

Did a search for ignition switch, but got nothing. I don't know maybe I fat fingered a letter, but thanks

You called it. It was the ignition switch. I just bought a new one since it was only $30. Thanks for the help
