Magnets affect the ECU?

I'm in the process of installing some subwoofers behind each seat, 2 - 8" woofers on each side in a cusom enclosure. I took off all the panels and such behind the seat, only to find the engine ECU is on the passenger side and the tranny ECU drivers side.

Will the magnetic field from the subs affect the ECU? Being that it's solid state I wouldn't think it would, but I just figured I would ask and see if it's been thought of/discussed before.

I'm trying to find some shielding right now that I can put between them for safe measure.

As a followup...

Car runs fine with the magnets about 1" away from the ECU. I'll see how long it keeps working...lol
