i just bought h&r springs for my nsx and was curious how hard it was to do and if there are any major obstacles. ive lowered many cars but jsut curious if there is anything i sohuld look out for. thanks

I would review the FAQ and do a search on shocks and springs. There are tons of threads on this topic here:). Also the H&R's will drop you at least 1.5+" which will result in out of spec camber angles. Just want you to be aware if you see premature tire wear.

Just curious, but would an alignment help solve the bad camber setting from a drop?

I'm such a mechanical n00b...

The NSX rear suspension does not have enough range to remove the negative camber from that severe of a drop. Most cars do not, but many have aftermarket "camber kits" which allow the alignment process to return camber close to stock if not normal. No such animal for our cars.

i got it done and i do need to get an alignment and there is some camber in the back. However, i guy around town has some type of setup in the rear for the camber. not 100% sure what type or how its setup but it does have camber adjuster. Actually saw pictures of it

Keep us posted on if you see anything on the camber adjuster. If some one came up with something for less neg. camber they would be a hero.
I just also bought some h&r springs for my car, let me know where they get the camber too.

I will be Running aftermarket wheels, 18x8 on the front and 18x10 on the rear. I have a buddy here intown that has the H&R springs and runs 18x8 front and 19x10 rear with a little rubbing. What are you leaning towards? Stock or Aftermarket?

When you drop the NSX you almost have to go with aftermarket wheels or you can add adapters.

A lowered NSX (Specially with H&R) looks horrible with the OEM wheels unless you add adapters. The OEM wheels would tuck in so much if you dont use adapters

Your set up would look good

Yes, I am pretty excited to get my springs on. Since I got my 18" wheels, when I put them on it actually raises my car about 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch from stock, looks not to pretty.

I will be installing H&R springs next week. I will be using the 97+ wheels. My question was regarding spacers, do I need spacers all the way around or will spacers in the back be sufficient? Most people go with 25mm correct? Would it be a good idea to use a 15mm spacer for the front? Thanks. Maybe this is an entirely different thread.

I did my own H & R and Koni's. I have done many many Honda's, and the NSX took me about twice as long!!! Not much clearance at all to pull the assembly out of the a-arms as other Hondas have. (a real pain in the butt!!) The stockers fit fine and drive fine. They do look odd, but still better than no drop at all!! :D

I will do it all the way around, just be sure and use OEM size tires as my friend has rubbing issues.

Post pictures when your done
