I can back that up. I lived in Jackson, MS in '98-2000, and it is unbelievably hot down there. I had a triple black Infiniti J30t and I literally bonded my skin to the interior door sill on a 102 degree day. The little chrome strip burned me, and the vinyl actually stuck to my skin. It's the same in the winter down south. I've been in "dry heat" as well as "dry cold" and let me tell you, 20 degrees in MS is equal to -10 in Utah. When I was younger, I always used to wonder why in the hell these people (Northerners on TV) would wear shorts while hiking in the snow? Now I know, it's not really the temp, so much as the relative humidity.
BTW, SNDSOUL, where in MS are you? Do you know Hal Smith (owner of Audio Advantage) in Columbus? He's a great guy. I'll be down that way this weekend for a wedding.
