Regional event calendars would be super cool especially if they allowed people to indicate whether they were going to join an event or not. No clue if that is beyond the technological capacity of this forum's software though.

I'm sure it will be fun to implement some new ideas, maybe including resurrecting the wiki/FAQ and making the homepage into something more timely & usable & dynamic? Not a critique of their current state; sometimes you can only find time to do so much...I've maintained a site as a volunteer for an organization and it took a lot of work and was complete drudgery much of the time even despite the opportunity to have fun and be creative and put something together that was enjoyed & used by many. But that was largely because it was unpaid free work. Now if my situation then was like how docjohn's will be (updating prime from his new yacht "The Bumble Sea-Bee," with his feet up, laptop in lap, some cognac within reach at all time, and lighting up cuban stogies with $20's in Google Adsense wrappers), then that'd be a completely different story.
I'm hearing rumors that paypal will not be accepted, only "Bitcoins", any truth to that Doc?
