The fan is not working. Has anybody done repair on this. How difficult is it. The repair manual does not show the internal part of the fan. The right side fan only required replacement of carbon brush. Pics anyone?

Thanks.

Check the manual for a fuse. If something gets stuck in the fan, the fuse will blow before the motor burns up. There are posts on 'Prime about it.

We've checked all the fuse and cable and confirm it's the fan motor. :frown:

Have you tried to see if the fan blade will even turn? You will have to remove the front tire and the fender liner to get to the fan motor. See if you can take your finger and turn the fan motor. The motor may have frozen up. Removal and replacement is not hard if the motor needs to be replaced. If the fan turns freely by hand and nothing else seems to be wrong, try switching fans from the other side and see if the problem stays with the motor or with the side of the car. This is a little work, but will save you a lot of money.

BTW the stock fender liner anchors are removed by pushing the center IN and then remove the fastener. To reinstall the fastener push the center pin back to the outside, install the fastener and push the center pin IN to flush. Try not to damage the fasteners since they are about $2+ EACH!!!!! You will find a lot of NSXs out there with standard HONDA fasteners that have a phillips head screw in the center, not the push pin design.

Thanks. I end up replacing the fan with the new OEM ones. Not only the carbon brush gone but the plastic mounting in the fan motor casing also broken.
