That is a little too high of an rpm. Try around 3K and see if your clutch holds or if your tires break loose. That is a good starting point. Have to have patience and know how to feather out the clutch instead of dumping it.
4 k rpm usualy works okay with real race slicks in medium. With other tires it really depends on brand and version. BTW: You may experience different results on different surfaces (tracks). As I can remember I did fine on Hockenheim start/finish line with about 4k and street legal Bridgestones SO 03s. I was first at the Nordkurve in front of a Ferrari 360 and a Ferrari 355 that started in the same row (had not much to do with the cars I think).
Remember you have the best launch with about 10% slippage.
And: No, tire sizes don't play any big role as Ken pointed out multiple times.
