hey everyone- first time poster long time reader. I've been perusing this board ever since I bought my supra TT- living right in Boston- given the weather and miserable road conditions dictate I sell it- anyways - I bought an Audi A8-its no NSX - but hey where like distant aluminum cousins(thus the username) and moved out here to Vegas- Henderson actually.

Anyways - I have been here exactly one month and have scene as of yesterday 4 nsx'x

pre 95 black one- near seven hills

02 silver one also near seven hills

post 95 silver near st rose bvlvd

post 95 red targa in Anthem- that was me with the 4 girls in the silver audi giving you athumbs up if your on the board- you had your targa off

anyways do these cars belong to anyone on the board - just curious

I'm looking to buy one in the next 6 months
and would juts like to hear what the owners here have to say and where would be the best place to have one looked prior to purchase
and later for repair.

well thanks in advance for any responses

-David

Hello. I also just moved to Las Vegas, from Hawaii, this past August. I am STILL looking for a reputable shop to work on my NSX. I have a Red 1991 Acura NSX with Blk Interior & 28k miles. SO far I tried Sansone Acura/Honda, and I do NOT recommend them. THey took 1 MONTH to do 1 DAY worth of work AND they overcharged me. I now take my car to this shop called G-Factor, and if you tell Scott there that I recommended you, he will take care of you AND do good work on your car. Also, I might be selling my car soon, so I will let you know. It has a brand new 2001 NSX 6-Spd trans, 2001 NSX Front & Rear Brake Calipers & Rotors, color matched roof, new Comptech Stage 2 clutch & flywheel package, Comptech Coilover Suspension, DALI Sway Bars, Comptech Headers, ARC Intake Box, RM Racing Exhaust, Comptech Test Pipes, DALI Race/Street Brake Pads, SS Brake Lines, DALI Brake Air Deflectors, Castrol SRF Brake Fluid, SOS White Face Gauge Conversion, A $5,000 Sound system w/ Kenwood touch screen DVD player, 18/19 Racing Hart M5 Rims, Wings West Side Skirts, Tint, Zanardi Titanium shift knob, NSX-R shift boot, Mugen pedals, Autolamps HID Conversion Kit, new floor mats and trunk mats in the box, new trunk ball joints & struts, and all BRAND NEW OEM belts, OEM water pump, OEM water pump cover, and Mugen Thermostat still on the original packaging in a box in my garage. I hardly drive the car, so the condition won't change much when I sell it. If anything, it will have more stuff on it. I will let you know, but try G-Factor to have your car, whatever it is, worked on. The guy there to talk to is Scott. Check him out. Shawn

Factor X Motorsports. They know NSXs.

And in Vegas, you'll only be a few hours drive from NSXPO 2003, nine months from now.

That Factor X place looks to be a viable option as a place to get complicated performance work done on a car. BUT I still recommend G Factor to have general repair work and moderate modifications done to an NSX. They also do fabrication and complex modifications, BUT I have not yet had an experience with such work from them so I cannot vouch for that type of work from them. BUT all indications with the work I HAVE had done with them so far would point to them being honest and skilled in their work, whether it be a supercharger install or an intake install. Scott @ G Factor also has had several cars he midified and worked on appear in National Magazine Feature Articles, so he DOES have work to back up his shop. Hope this info helps. Shawn

I would also recommend taking your car to Factor X. I just came back from there this past weekend. They are finally up and running. You may have to get in line because their board looks pretty solid but in Nevada, I don't think there's anyone who knows NSX's better than they do. They've also got separate fabrication and engine building sections to their shop. Go drop by and take a look! They're right on the Speedway.

Im in Summerlin also, but i rarely see any nsx's running around. The Vegas nsx guys need to get together for lunch sometime or make a trip to Factor X.

Shawn, what island are you from? Mike is from Maui, Ken has family on the Big Island and did you know Chris W. from Science of Speed is also from the islands?

We do everything from the complex to basic preventative maintenance for the whole Honda/Acura line, the Toyota/Lexus line, Vipers, and the occasionally Fords.

Hopefully that will change soon

We’ve been looking at houses out in that area. Where would you guys recommend? Red Rock looks very nice. If we make the move out there that would make three more NSXs running around Summerlin.

Most definitely, you guys are more than welcome. Just give us a ring in advance so we can schedule sometime to chat. We love to talk about the NSX just as much as everyone on this forum. Maybe we should plan a BBQ. Or how about something bigger? Alex V. used to put on an awesome event in Vegas. Maybe we should try something like that. Any west coast NSXs interested in a weekend of dyno days, ¼ miles, and road racing at the LVMS?

Btw, thank you for the kind words in the previous posts we appreciate it.

Lets set up a bbq, that sounds like a great idea, i wanna meet some of the vegas guys, espicially the ones running around up here in Summerlin. Factor, Red Rock C.C. is nice, you should go see the model houses they have, we are building in Bellecere right now on Hualapai and Alta and currently live on Pavillion Cntr. and Alta, it is nice up here. Shawn we should meet up sometime i would love to see your car, sounds really nice! Take care everyone!

Hello everyone, I also live in Vegas, close to Summerlin, at Buffalo and Flamingo, and I work at the Suncoast in Summerlin. I drive a Green 94 NSX, license plate ASIPLEZ (As I please). I've only owned the car about 5 months, and I haven't done anything to it. I just came across this site today and I like it. I'm very curious to learn about my car, and about what modifications I should do to it. Friends at work are always telling me about intake, and supercharging, and computer chips and I just dont know anything about that stuff. I would be willing to get together with you guys for lunch sometime.

Todd

Todd im at the Suncoast almost every weekend watching a movie and always valet the car there would be nice to meetup!

wow- quite the contingent of NSX'ers out here. I feel partly responsible for this upcoming BBQ- it feels nice to give back.

I saw 3 NSX's today- a silversone targa and a black and yellow targa- i think the yellow one had a bra- all near eastern and serene

who are these mystery NSX drivers- anyone on the board- anyone want to give me a ride- I'll let you borrow the Audi- its great for family trips and very comfortable for long rides-j/k

hope to meet y'all one day

DC

Hey vegasnsx: next time I'm in Vegas can I score a ride in your Modena?

BTW y'all, Vegas rocks! My folks live there, and I'd move there if I could find jobs in my field there.

Hey VegasNSX. What do you do for a living? What field do you have a degree in, and what kind of degree do you have? I am currently a Junior at UNLY and I am in the School of Business with an MIS major. I want to do what you are, if I can have a fleet like you do when I am older. I am doing alright now considering that I don't work, but when I do I want to get onto the train that you are on. No joke. Email me if you like, but just let a young fella such as myself in on what it will take to get where you are at. Shawn

Hard work got me to where im at. I went to school to be a pilot, and worked cleaning planes here in Vegas on the side. Well a couple years ago i took the jump and decided to open my own business detailing airplanes, got some great accounts doing alot of the casino owners planes and then landed Netjets airplanes, so i have about 500 bizjets or so to take care of. Really if you have the drive you can accomplish anything all it takes is hard work, it sounds like your on the right track Shawn, stay in school and work hard.

I live in LA and just bought a 94 NSX in Vegas this past weekend and wanted to let you guys in Vegas know about FactorX. Ken and Mike were great to work with and very knowledgable. Since their shop was about 45 minutes from the seller, they were kind enough to drive out at 8am in the morning to the seller's house to perform the pre-purchase inspection for me. That's 8am in the morning on a Saturday, that's the best customer service. Once they gave me the thumbs up on the purchase, I had a chance to stop by their new shop located at the Speedway. The shop had 2 NSX's and several other cars they were building. They even helped me tape up the front of my NSX for the long drive back from Vegas to LA, what an excellent drive that was!

Just wanted you guys out in Vegas know of my experience and you guys are lucky to be so near to FactorX. Thanks Ken and Mike.
