The first production car to reach 200mph was the F40, which was in 1997. The car had 200 more hp than the M1 and was 500lbs lighter.

The Ferrari F40 was made from 1987 to 1992 with a top speed of 201mph :tongue:

The McLaren F1 -fastest production car in the world, greatest performing production car in the world, etc... (debatable now w/Veyron (crap) and others but IMO, still holds it) with a top speed of 241mph was made from 1992-1996

Do you have any sources noting Proton's sale of Lotus to Ford?

I can't find any articles indicating that.
I thought Proton still owned Lotus in whole.
