I just switched from Bilstein/Eibach setup to Koni/Eibach setup. For some odd reason, my car is sitting almost an inch higher than before, is this normal?
I checked, the perches are the correct side up. Besides, if the perche are indeed upside down, the springs won't seat properly anyway.
My mechanic was telling me that the koni's perches sit a bit higher than the bilsteins on the top perches. Too bad I wasn't there, or else I would have measured it myself.
I've been searching prime for the past few days for koni/eibach pics. It seems the ride height do vary quite a bit even for the same setup.... strange! Some of them are quite slammed and some are not.
Here's my theory.... I installed new oem upper shock mount. The new rubber in the upper shock mount is quite a bit thicker than my old beat up one. Secondly, my mechanic tighten up everything with the car still on the hoist. Thirdly, maybe the springs are still too new and haven't settled yet.

I guess you're you're talking about the yellow konis. If this is true, the ride height is the same as oem. Only one perche is available. If you want to lower ride height, you need shorter springs.
As noted in my earlier post; no matter what length springs you have, if you reuse them, and go from a lower perch mount on the Bilstien's to the Koni's you will raise the ride ht. around 7/8 in. If you had been using the Bilstien's upper mount groove, ( same as OEM ht.) it should end up with same ride Ht. when you switch to the Koni's
Seems like if you had 1in lowering springs on the lower perch of the Bilstiens the car would be way too low.. that would be a 1 and 7/8ths inch drop!!!
