Kid's Day At the Glen

Something we should know about????:D:D

Regards,
LarryB

Just a tow setup. Susan's idea since she has this notion that mechanical issues occasionally crop up and she wants to make sure she has a way home from the track. I really don't know what she's talking about:rolleyes:. Also, I may get some shop rags so Larry B doesn't have to shocked by what I might hand him for a rag:eek:.

Speedjunkie will be there but with the 07 WRX STi, not the 97 NSX...

If you're running a stock NSX, look for me in your mirror, I wanna' get by... LOL

I don't know where I'm stayin' yet...

Doc John,

No, I meant during the track sessions! LOL I won't pass with the kids in the car!

Also, I will be bringing a couple of spare helmets for people to use when they are passengers so that won't be such a big problem this year...

Hey guys, i am sorry count me out. My uncle passed on monday. The calling hrs are on wed and burial is on thursday. So i am taking those days off for that and cannot take next wed off for kids day. I planned for it for a while now but things come unexpected. I will catch up with you guys on the 25th. If there is any other meets or events on the weekend i want to attend.

Sorry once again.

Again, another fantastic Kid's Day at the Glen. The NSX group had the best showing of any other car there, and the kids were very enthusiastic about our cars, they were even fighting one another to get into them. I also understand that Clem, Doc Bling and I made it on the local news up there this evening. Thanks to our open track guys for taking us out for lap after lap and sharing your excitement with us all. I had an incident free drive back home and wish you all a great day out on the track tomorrow and a safe return as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the River Run in another week and a half!!!

These are the kids I gave rides to:

I cannot agree more. I have to add Gene as well for taking Stephanie out in the GT2:).

For those who were not there two years ago, Stephanie wanted to go out for hot laps, but at 16 years old, it was not possible. She instead lent a helping hand with the signups with Sylvia at the Trackmasters office that day.

They told Stephanie, that last year they would let her go out, in thanks for her help. Well as many remember last year there were issues with the track and the dates got changed, and we could not go.

Well, now we are at WGI and Stephanie is 18 years old, and can sign the waiver herself and get out there. She requested Bob for her first ride. She was a little apprehensive at first, but I knew better:). All I see is her after her ride and I realized her helmet magically changed sizes and was too small. It was due to the huge smile she could not get off her face:D:D.

So, we go to lunch. Stephanie had a class last evening and originally we planned on leaving right after lunch. When I told her Open Track started at 1:30pm so if she wanted to make the class, she would have to pass on going out with DocJohn in the BumbleBee. Her response was "What class?" I going out some more.....

Who would have thought??:):).

Anyway it was a very rewarding day, and the kid's had a blast, all of them:).

Thanks to all for organizing the event and the dinner, all was great!!

Regards,
LarryB

She did have this "huge smile" on her face, glad that she enjoyed herself. Hope that she didn't get you in too much trouble with Sissy!!!

Apologies... I missed this important event again. :frown:

I just learned about this great event from a recent phone conversation with Larry. I hope to champion something similar here in So Cal. We have too many NSX owners for not doing similarly.

Give something to the community... Create another NSX social gathering... Generate a little marketing buzz for the NSX marque... a triple win situation.
