just saw 2Fast2Furious movie last night

hullo first post :D the nsx i heard it's ludicras own nsx
(is that how you spell his name?) any ways yeah i heard that he paints all his cars like that with that lv pain scheme. i saw the movie too and i didn't think it was too bad. was disappointed that i didnt see the nsx in action:D

I haven't seen it yet. Did anybody notice in the movie if there is a Civic hatch painted lime green with yellow interior and Lambo doors in it. That is a buddy of mine who is an extra in it.

I thought the movie was fun... Stupid, of course, but still fun. It's like a live action cartoon really... I also think people have to realize that a movie featuring realistic 14 second street race runs and realistic 200 hour garage mod sessions would be hugely boring and basically only the handful of car nuts on the web forums would be even remotely interested...

Oh, and RSO, no point posting links to the NY Times since they require registration in order to view anything. Personally, I wouldn't register for their content if they paid me.

Overall, movies that people might enjoy seeing aren't movies that critics ever appreciate (ironic), so I can use my imagination on what their review probably said. Have to wonder if their reviewer *actually* saw the movie, though, or just based his comments on synopses he pulled off the web (kinda like their ace reporter was doing)... can ya tell I dont like the Times? LOL

Honestly... I am kind of deluded... I wanted to see some NSX action anyway... even with the Louis Vitton suckmobile... :(

gheba, I am with you and SJS. I am disappointed. I wanted the NSX all over the movie. Other than the sticker on the NSX, it looks like some of the cars that have posted pics in the pictur gallery of this web site.

Why would I not want the increased exposure, Sky rocketing values associated with the worldwide attention the movie would have provided. With the car being in the Ludacris video, I can't tell you how many times I have been asked by some wide eyed kid is my car a NSX.

I am not a huge fan of the NYT either but the review is a riot. Sorry about the link - I thought I bypassed their registration requirements by doing it that way.

I went in not thinking much about it. The previews alone were enough to turn me off. Unless a film has the word "Reloaded" right next to it, CGI's--at least too much of it--leaves much to be desired. The bridge scene was enough to roll my eyes uncontrollably.

The 2F2F seems like a different genre than F&F. As a friend would say, "FF is first a movie that happen to have cars in it. 2F2F have the cars in the main spotlight with a story at a distant second."

Relatively beautiful cars, gorgeous women and the men ogling at both. It rivals that of any local Import scene. The NSX was ugly. 'Nuff said. I'm kinda glad that it only had a few seconds of movie time because of it.

The action scenes were definitely a notch above the last level. There were camera angles on the fast moving cars that seem to be impossible to capture unless of course they were taken at a sound stage somewhere. But, to its credit, it was done with a degree of reality.

Tyrese was the comic relief of the movie. I'm glad he was in it but Vin Diesel would have been nice too. At least with the latter, there was an interesting clash between the main characters. The Paul Walker-Tyrese combo was reduced to a mere pissing contest between two childhood friends from Barstow.

The acting was corny. Especially from the asian girl. Looks nice but not much there. But like I said, I went in without much expectation.

So, if you want to look at bright shiny cars that move fast, it's worth a look see--once. Unless of course you don't want to fork over the $9, I'd suggest waiting for the local Super Saver theaters to pick it up. Then it would be definitely worth the $2.50 admission.

I'm trying to remember the last time I showed up at the street races ,and people were break dancing around their cars :) The movie was very dorky, and the plot was terrible. Some scenes were fun to watch, but overall I was dissappointed by the cars. Tyreses spyder was a joke and a brown and orange nsx???? I don't see why some of you were so worried about the way they were going to portray the nsx in the movie. Did you buy your nsx to project some sort of image about yourself? Now that is corny in my opinion.

No, speak for yourself. I bought the NSX because I love the way it looks, how it drives, the awesome seating position, gocart-like feel, unbeatable reliability and overall design.

I agree with the above.

I thought the movie was ok. The bridge scene was a little over the edge (no pun intended). Although i too do not like the LV NSX i was suprised that it did not play any role in the movie. I thought i did see a yellow NSX in the background a couple times during the race scene at the begining. Anyone???

That is true... It was behind the Character Monica Fuentes... When Paul Walker noticed her in the crowd. Sorry if my spelling is incorrect. But from the looks of it... That car was MYNSX from NSXPRIME. I might be wrong... but the wing I saw on it was the dead give away. If you look closely you would notice it. It will only show up twice. I didn't see it until I saw the movie the second and 3rd time around....

Ok I was wrong... but I wish it could have seen the NSX better. Joel I feel ya... I kind of did the samething. Also the NSX was my Dream car.... I've always wanted one.

FYI, a few monthes ago some people were complaining that this movie could hurt the "classy" image of their car if it was involved in street racing. My previous post was directed towards these individuals ONLY. If you didn't buy your nsx to project an image, then my post was not directed towards you.

Don't worry about it Kane no one really cares.... But isn't it crazy that Last week it made more than 50 million dollars and was the #1 movie that week. Not too shabby in my oppinion.

I can definitely respect the films money making potential. I guess they made it to appeal to a wider audience. Personally I would have liked to see a lifted H1, maybe a Supra built by Top Secret Japan with wide body, a Signal auto Skyline.......the list could go on and on.

Background of movie

My blue metallic 93 (yes I know it's not a stock color for 93) was supposedly a background car in the movie---it had a Universal Studios CA title and was a car sold at a movie auction in Miami after the movie ended.....It had a stupid scoop on the roof (yes, the roof not the hood). It also has NSX R lettering going up at an angle on both doors going from the doors to the 1/4. The R is blue in a red background and is right where the gas lid cover is....Anyone notice it??? I got rid of the scoop but still have the lettering--has a lot of other advertizing on it too for Sparco, stitchcraft K&N etc and one heck of a big two level adjustable rear spoiler--one wing is as wide as the car....

No, MYNSX didn't accept any background roles for that project.[/url]

Although it is rumoured Bill was considered as a replacement for Vin Diesel... :D

Neo, would you have not seen matrix reloaded with a date due to sexual content because their was far more in reloaded then either of the f and f flicks, as for awkward do you mean clumsy attempts at one handed bra removel then the answer would be no..all the moves were smooth, you know I am pulling your leg on all this you ladies man. such the gentleman but come on if thats to much stick with the disney channel. joke mode off: IMHO the movie sucked. it should be classified as science fiction and had not nearly enough racing ...street racing in the conventional sense and not the stupid hollywood spin and product placement turning all the genre into a 90 minute ad for whatever their selling

try to enjoy it anyway and it will not affend your date but may insult her intelligence
