I guess I am posting good news for the Anti 2fast2furious NSXers. I saw the movie last night, and I spotted the NSX for 2 seconds in the entire movie. It didn't even move. So needless to say that the NSX did NOT represent BAD images to the NSXs and it's "high pride" owners, it didn't even do anything.
so reasure folks, your nsx image will still be intact.

any comments on the movie itself?
was it worth the 7 bucks?
...or should we wait to rent the dvd?

It was free for me... but I would pay 7 bucks for it. I wouldn't agree with the cast, but it has some humors to spice the scene a little. compare to TF&TF, this one is a notch better.
I think Mitsu paid quite a bit to be part of this movie.

But the cars seem to look worse in this movie than the first. I am seeing it for free as well this Saturday at the International Meet in the Irvine Spectrum as Edwards Cinema is trying to kick off the intro to the movie. They were going to show it on an IMAX screen for the car club organizer and participant.

Why would they waste all that money and time painting the ugly brown NSX if it was only in the movie for 2 seconds?? Pretty stupid.

Maybe there are some "deleted scenes" in the DVD version, or there will be a "Director's Cut" ;) Whatevere the reason, I'm glad we were spared the humiliation of seeing that thing on the big screen...

I just wanna know if the S2000 in this one has 100 grand under its hood just like Johnny Tran's!:D

for those that don't want to spend $ on the movie AND haven't bought the first one.

get the new tricked-out version DVD for F&F1 and get a free ticket inside to see part II...that's what i'm doing.

on the first day, the DVD will sell for about $15.99 at Bestbuy....

This is the best news I've read in a long time!

You guys are kidding, right?

details give us details!, did the movie have cgi effects? was there the same or more car action from the previous film? Same dodgy dialouge? What was the reaction from other peoples? i actually enjoyed the first movie, recognition of modifying as a legitimate hobby....looking forward to the new one..........

I saw the movie on Tuesday, and thought that it was decent. There seemed to be a lot more racing-action scenes than the previous one. Dialogues are, of course, as corny as the previous one, and acting capability of majority of actors/actresses were not the highlight of the movie, but I enjoyed the movie for what it's worth.

Only down side was that I wasn't too excited about the two Mitsu cars that were dominating the movie.

I saw the movie on Tuesday and I liked it... The movie was a bit more humorous to make it a little more interesting. But I would recommend people to see it if your just into the Import Scene completely. As for the S2K, it is Supercharged and does 13.9 in the quarter mile. Everything else is all cosmetic stuff. The EVO VII has problems. I don't know what it is.. but it only did 15.3 in the quarter... Which it should be doing low 13's. They said it could have been the stress they have been doing to the car for the movie. I don't know. The "LV NSX" is too weird looking, and I was kind of glad that the car didn't have that big of a scene. I've seen pictures  .

It opens in Baltimore tomorrow. I will check it out this weekend.
