I just got home with my '05 Silverstone and I can't believe it's in my garage. I sold my '97 Red/Tan/Auto, last November, so we could buy a new house. We went to the dealership to get my wife a new RL, today, and there it was... number 21. Needless to say, my wife didn't get the RL... but, I think she'll really like driving my truck! LOL!

Congratulations on your new car - I too think you should go get the RL for the wife if you want to stay married. The RL is truly a wonderful car.

Yes, there is a huge difference in the 6-speed vs. the automatic. As for the ride, you can't tell the difference in the 50K mile '97 and the 100 mile '05. I had a door speaker that had always been blown since I owned the '97, and I've found that even with both door speakers working the stereo still really sucks.
I bought the one at Gillman for whomever asked.
And I know, I know, I've got to do something about the RL for her. They have one at Gillman with a ground effects package, spoiler, and 19" wheels that is awsome. It's charcoal w/ charcoal wheels. By far the best looking one I've seen yet!

Wow, two of the best cars you could buy. I love the new RL and would love to get my wife one. She is hung up on an SL500 - I think the RL is a better car.
