July 7th all day tracking at grand prix, no experience required.

NO drifting, NO awesome displays of vehicle power or noise...

I would suggest NO excessive drifting or displays of noise..... otherwise, I have to bring my mom's crv.

Farran my boy safety :-) although there are drifters out there before! We will organize drifting event in the near future how's that! The road is wide! Here is some idea of the format we will be running that day(paul's assistant was driving my car)...according to Paul, this is good! Details will be givien by Chris and Bill at the track. Remember this is a team work effort, all of us making this happen...feel free to weigh in on all issues.

What's the deal if it's raining? Anything change/etc?

Ohh, is puddle cups afraid to get his car wet. Remember, less time at Sugars means more days on the track.

I was hoping you'd be driving your Bigwheel so we could keep up with you.

Not sure; there were four signups with no indication of where they came from. I also put out invitations on the northwest Mini forum and 6speedonline. As of right now we have room for 4 more.

As I understand it we have a few people here who have made arrangements with Arnon to pay cash at the track. If they could sign up with me so I can keep track of exactly how many we have, and make sure everybody's on the mailing list (for updates and more info) that'd be great.

I already asked Ravi... he said his car is only for Blvd. Pimping.

He said he will be there briefly as "celebrity appearance".

Guys, the book will be closed tomorrow, so far so good. Waiting list starts tomorrow night. I might be driving w/a few lotus guys Tuesday morning ... North end guys, if you want to drive together see you at my place 7a.m. Make sure to be there at 8am. First come, first served.

Nope, PGP Inc have already collected the money, and they called us pansies for even suggesting that any kind of weather might cause any kind of problems. We're currently looking at a strong possibility (30%) of some light rain on Tuesday. We're going to proceed anyway. Just make sure you have your all-weather tires on -- no slicks unless it turns out to be clear with 0% chance of rain.

my x neighbor kid got one of those   ha ha

I will be taking picture of everyone in the middle of the track! you will need to give us your e-mail address at the gate.

and we are going to make a group picture with everyone, (not sure how to make every car too but will be nice.) something I always wanted to do if I go to track and never did.

Oh, if anyone can get an extra driver for me, I would like to bring my miata down for fun and so far I have nobody committed to drive for me down there yet.

How's 167 in the morning? Anyone want to meet up and head down together or is that too hard?

I was planning on leaving around 7-7:15.

Well, there's a handful. My little point n shoot camera didn't do so well with some of the action shots... need to bring a better camera next time!

Well I had some trepidation the track would be to tight for the cars but it worked out to be perfect to keep the speeds low enough for an excellent car control event. Arnon this was a stroke of genius!
I had a great time helping the guys learn to control their cars and found a few naturals out there from the guys who are just getting started with finding the limits of their cars.
Erik is a natural curb hopper and will make a fine road racer he showed strong car feel and found the zone of being one with his machine quite quickly.
Ferrand is a natural also and reminds me of myself and is sometimes to hard on himself but has natural skills also.
Arnon one session and you got your sensor (butt)tuned to feel your car also, I enjoyed helping you guys find the feel for the cars you so desire through your enthusiasm for this sport of driving.
Brian has great skills and car control also as I watched him out there and Fowler well I didn't get a chance to ride with him he was really getting his car to transfer weight in all the turns I observed him in and he has excellent skills also.
I think all of you guys are ready to take a novice program to supplement these type of sessions and to take your carpox to the next level of enjoyment when you want to. I had fun and will help you with any level you want to achieve and your enthusiasm is very contagious, remember the point is to keep the shiny side up so we can drive in anger another day cheers to all of my future road racer pals!
Rick
To bad Bill was unable to drive today but he stewarded the sessions quite well.

To be able to talk to you in person is one of my highlight of the day. I hope that next time I hit the PR you would have chance sitting in my car and give me some pointer.

I didn't have much preparation, (yeah I was playing bejewel last night till 2AM:redface:), NOR anticipating much fun with the small track. Guess what, I'm exhausted and caught myself asleep more than a few times on my way back home. The na1 manual steering makes this quite an exercise. I guess the bummer is that I didn't realize the fast guys all brought their R compound tires, and I got OWNED. but then I really have fun with the oem hardened Bridgestone, I'm sure I'll be much faster next time at the big track as now I can say that I'm very confident catching the car at big drift angle.

I really believe it'll be a good idea if we break up to am and pm groups next time though.

Big thanks to Arnon, Chris and Bill making it happened.

Man, I really wish I coulda been there guys. Couldn't get outa work though. Hey Arnon, does this mean I can't use your house for my B-Day, hehe.

Looks like you all had a lot of fun. Talk to ya soon.
