Jordan Retro Spotter's Thread

What are you guys using to clean your J's with? I too have a pair of white sole Jordans that are getting dirty. What do you recommend? Yesterday I just picked up the dub zeros that came out on the 13th. They remind me of the old days:smile:

I use a mr. clean type sponge to clean the white soles. On the backs of heels shoes tend to brown up quite quickly, a damp mr. clean gets that dirt right off.

Gotta say: never been in to Air Jordans or any "edition" of shoes. I am sure you guys (and girls) are passionate about them, but the point is missed by me. I guess as a coin collector some of you could say the same thing about that hobby and no one writes rap songs about mine.

maybe it's the designer in me - but i hate jordan's.

I'll take a pair of these if it's for everyday wear http://www.buckle.com/shopping/prod...&iProductID=6759&sWhichLN=1&iParentProducts=0

OR if we're talking actually working out in the shoes, the Nike Free http://www.nike.com/nikefree/ are awesome.

I guess the designer in you is missing out on the most comfertable shoe ever made. Jordan brand shoes have a patent on the air pocket making it never abled to be duplicated and it's design is unable to be matched on any level. No matter what your style, you should at least appreciate the engineering on the shoe.

From Jay-Z to Kobe Bryant, Jordan's make statements for all kinds of celebs and peps in the spot light. This hype has people all over the world seeking out rare and hard to find retros, like digging for treasure.

So what you know about some retro kicks from '96? Or better yet, have you seen the launch list for Fall '06? If not, then step back with your wack designer sh*t.

Ha yeah Jay-Z and Kobe...there are a couple of real winners to look up to:frown: ..One guy that sets the example in his videos that women are just objects to be taken advantage of....and then another guy that cheats on his woman with Girls that may or may not be willing...yeah good role models for today's youth:rolleyes:

I see you have no arguement on the shoe itself, just it's stereotypical demographics. The product speaks for itself. Let's please not turn this thread that obviously has a lot of people interested in sharing info into some kind of bashfest. Can't we ever get along on this site? ... hahaha.

BTW- Wish I would have heard about your poker party at an earlier time. You know I would love to take your guys money. LOL.

Am I the only one that's into Onitsuka Tigers ( ya know the Bruce Lee shoes ) ?

Looks like you are! Ha ha, oh well Jordan's are better anyways so jump on this bandwagon. LOL.

haha do they pay you to share your news?

I don't know a single person who owns Jordans... not one.

I wouldn't get toooo hung up on the patent... many many shoes hold their own patents, for making the shoe comfortable. I thought these were basketball shoes?? I've owned my share of basketball shoes and even two pair of jordans, and I don't remember them being obsurdly comfortable... just a shoe. Nothing special.

most comfortable shoe I've ever owned is my current Steve Maddens, and a pair of Oakley shoes from about 3 years ago.

just a friendly debate ;) not busting your balls... or um, whatever

Funny, I thought the VII's and VIII's were some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I can't comment on anything above the VII's though, I only own VI, VII and VIII. But in defense of other shoes, I'm sure there are other shoes on the market that are not jordan's that are very comfortable. I'm working on being more trendy... maybe I should pick up a pair of maddens.

hummm...I go to the gym 5 days a week and I have never seen anyone wearing Jordan's there...mostly Asics and Nike.

Oh I remember where I saw people wearing Jordan's..It was at the mall..and they were all on kids that needed to pull their pants up.

I am a Jordan shoe collector. The XXI Jordan's are from what I hear made from 100% Italian leather. Some of his past shoes are going for over $500 a pair. More recently I saw a pair of his shoes game worn and signed on Ebay being sold by the Jordan Foundation with a starting bid of over $10k! Paris do you know when the all grey XXI come out?
