Want to say what a delight John from Bavarian is to to do business with. If you are in St Louis and have a BMW I would look him up.

A few questions from those of you who know. How many 02's were there? Same question in white? Original MSRP?

One of the previous owners placed OZ wheels on the car and painted them white. I have mixed feelings about white or black, but the paint is already peeling. John tells me tirerack is my only solution for powder coating (OZ wheels) a more permanent and costly solution. He suggests waiting to the tires need replacing. Does anyone have any input that differs from this?

I believe I will be purchasing the downforce NSX-R conversion kit for this
2002. Can some PM me who has a white car like mine, as I have a few questions.

I want to thank the members of this forum and the admistrator for such a wonderful, informative and interesting place to be. Now I just have to figure out how to post a picture of my new toy in my profile.

Congrats! I live near Salinas and would love to see the car someday.

I reside in Pebble Beach and would be pleased to meet any fellow members who are attending any of the auto events in the area. Concourse De elagance, RM auction in Monterey or the Laguna Seca classic car races.

Hi Steven,

First off, congrats on your car. It looks very beautiful and with all the work already done (Comptech supercarger and more...) there will not be many other cars you will have worry about.

As for the a nice NSX-R conversion, perhaps you might want to contact NSXSupra. I don't know the guy personally but he has one of the cleanest (literally  ) NSX R conversion (and car) I have ever seen.
Here is a link for you:

Steven,
Congratulations, please take more pics once the car is delivered.

The production number between 02~05 GPW are:
02 GPW=7
03 GPW=4
04 GPW=3
05 GPW-10
Total 02~05=24 (Credit to Ben)
Total GPW 91~05=486

You can get the wheels powder coated anywhere, at least I don't see why not. Google for local powder coating shop listing. Virtually any color you wish.

Downforce conversion pacakge is imho the best choice besides OEM NSX-R hood and Wing. The fitments are perfect, especially the Downforce NSX-R hood. Please contact Erick for your Downforce package deal or any conversion needs.

MvM,
Thank you so much, it is my honor:biggrin:, you are too nice.

Congrats. Gorgeous car.

Congrats my friend

Nice ride congrats. White is really growing on me lately. I think my next car I will get a white 745 or range rover with white rims. Or if my wife lets me a GPW nsx like your with NSX_R conversion like you are going to do. Goodluck and enjoy that beauty

Congrats! Looks like a great car. My opinion on the wheels in get rid of them and get something that fits better, and does not weigh so darn much as those OZ wheels do!! Go NSX-R.

Congrats, that is a clean car. You will love the driving the NSX on Hwy 1 & Hwy 17. Hope you meet you in one of the local meets.

To all:

Thank you for the warm welcome!

NSXSUPRA:

I was told that the OZ wheels are unusual and that only tirerack can work on them - perhaps that info is incorrect? That is why I assumed that the powder coating would have to be done with tirerack. Perhaps someone can clarify?

MVM:

I own two SL'S and I am sure it will join the collection of the seldom driven but much admired.

BIOBANKER:

Yes, the roof was painted and so was the spoiler at one point to give it the NSX-R look by a previous owner.

Meeyatch:

I was told the OZ wheels were light and expensive. Does anyone else have more input here on what Mitch is saying?

Slamstorm:

I know it will see time on Hwy 1, but not so sure about Hwy 17.

Does anyone know how many total NSX's were produced in 2002 and what the origianl MSRP was? Last question, I attached the picture of my car to my profile and clicked save, but it is still not showing - what am I doing wrong?

Hmm, I would not be surprised if you end up driving THIS car more than you thought you would

As for the OZ wheels, I cannot see clearly why type of OZ wheels they are. The OZ Superleggera and Ultraleggera are certainly light but those on your car are not those models and for certain, not all OZ wheels are light be definition.

Congrats on the new purchase! I'm sure youll love every minute of it!

Hi Steve & group
Thanks for the comments. Here's a link to the wheels. To correctly refinish these requires a proprietary 10 point tool made of unobtainium.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=145
They are forged. lightweight, and over $800 each. (Superleggera 1)
The original cost of the car & upgrades (on the road 1/1/03) was around $120K

I already miss the car. Enjoy the ride Steve.
Only consolation is the Noble on my lift. We'll have to see if it comes close to the quality & performance of the NSX
John

Thanks again John for being such a delight to do business with. You may wish to denote the car is sold in the for sale section, so you do not sadden other prospective buyers.

Very nice nsx, love the black and white nsx-r color combo. Maybe spending on a new set of rims might be better.

Apparently, my car is going on its own tour of the US. The trucking company Blue Highway's had it going from St Louis, Chicago, Iowa and now AZ. My fervent hope is my car is having a good summer trip and will at least take some pictures.
