This year’s ItalianCarFest is this Saturday (9/11/2004) in Grapevine, TX. Last year I could not stay long, but I very much enjoyed seeing all the amazing Italian autos and cycles and chatting with a few owners. Here are some pictures from last year.

I’m curious if anyone here will be attending this Saturday and if there are any plans to meet for lunch or dinner.

Thanks!

Gil, I will probably go. I am planning on leaving Austin around 8 AM. Do you want to meet somewhere on IH-35? Perhaps near Temple (around 9 AM) or Waco (around 9:30 AM)?

Hey Ojas and Gil, gimme a call so we hook up after 10AM, me, Scott (WRX) and maybe some other guys.
I can take you guys to the bodyshop in Arlingtong to see the $1300 comptech wide body kit installation in process.

Sounds great, Mike. I assume the kit you are referring to is the one offered by raceonusa. I would like to see how that’s turning out!
Yep, thats the one, he didnt do the front end though.
04 Front end upgrade, wide 1/4 panels and bumper.
We need to go there before noon cause the shop close at 1pm. By the way, thats not my nsx in the shop.

In this case, I think it would be best for us to meet at the shop when we first get to town. We could spend some time there, then head to Gravevine for the show.

Can we just meet at the shop (or someplace close by) at 11 AM? If so, just give me the name and address. See you then.

I took some pics...

I’ll start with some 360s.

There were two F40s: A production model (the first three pictures) and a prototype (the latter two).

360 Challenge Stradale, Exterior. Here’s a quote from the website address on the license plate:

The goal #1 for this Ferrari is to be the highest mileage Challenge Stradale in existence.
Currently 10,580 miles in 4.5 months! This guy must be the MarkB of the Ferrari world!

Yellow Murcielago: My favorite styling detail is the deepness of the side intake.

A couple Diablos. I get the feeling squeezing the firing order on the engine cover is not necessiated by technical importance - rather it seems to be placed in such a prominent location to simply say "Yep, there are twelve of 'em." :D

Around the parking lot... The Gallardo made quite an entrance. The radiator fans (or whatever fans are immediately in front of the wheels) kicked up a cloud of dust and made it appear as if the car was hovering!
