Is your cara daily driver or "weekend"car

91 NSX is at 33k miles (mainly weekends if weather allows)

03 SC Xterra is the daily at 8k miles

Next purchase will be a house with a 3rd garage

Winter Car

I drive my 1994 NSX (Black/Black/Automatic) a little more during fall/winter/spring and drive my 1995 Mustang GT Convertible (Silver/Black/Automatic) a little more during the summer. The NSX can be a little hot during the hot months because of the color, and I really enjoy top down driving during the warm weather anyway. Still, I split the miles between them fairly evenly. I prefer the NSX over the Mustang (surprise!), particularly for long trips. The Mustang always seems a little crude after only driving the NSX for a spell. But having a spare convertible keeps me pretty happy with my NSX coupe so I don't pine away so much for an NSX-T...although I was at the dealer today and was eyeing a new Silverstone Grey NSX-T with the 6-speed. It just showed up today (Pohanka Acura, Northern Virginia) and hadn't been dealer prepped yet. I have arranged for a test-drive when I return to pick my coupe up. Having arrived at the dealership in an NSX, arranging a test-drive in a new NSX wasn't a problem.
My 12-year-old daughter wants me to give her the NSX for her first car; she prefers it over the convertible also.

This post has been resurrected almost a year after by spyderman33!!

Well.. mine is also driven only during the weekend. I don't drive during the week (I take subway to work), and I drive Audi for the bad weather/running errands/etc..

dailydriver: civic hatchback 1.6 VTi -00 (EK4+b16a2), bought it new in february -01 31K miles
pleasure/track: nsx-91 75K miles

Nina was the daily during the summer, now Katrina has been the daily up til about a week ago, when Mina took over after she got a gps so I dont get lost...now Katrina (who was my daily back before I ever had Nina or Mina) is my secondary with Nina my weekend car, unless I get overly bored then Katrina or Nina become my dailies and Mina sits at home, but if the weather gets bad, then its back to Mina.

At this momment, Mina is the daily, Kat and Nina are weekenders, and I am looking to make Nina the secondary daily when she is fixed.

Auraraptor,

Whatever happened to the Ferrari? Was it too much hassle owning that car?

As for me, I split duties between the NSX and the MR2, but the MR2 will see the track a whole lot more. As far as daily driving, I just can't explain it, but I am always draw more to the NSX than the MR2.

I have a 1991 NSX with 105k miles. It is my only car.

Every day before work, while I am eating breakfast, I get excited knowing that I will get to drive the NSX to work. The same applies when I am logging out of my computer when leaving work. It makes my day better.

Of course driving in mild traffic during rush hour is not nearly as fun as going on drives with the NSX group, it is still something I really have fun doing.

Mine is weekend, fair-weather car only. Drive the s2000
the most in the summer. Daily driver is the 6-speed Accord,
the ultimate stoplight sleeper! Jonsing badly for HSC!

Not a daily driver, but not a weekend car either. I take it out when I have time, but it isn't that often. Drive it around 500 miles/year.

I have 7 other cars that handles the mileage I put on every day. :D

Weekend car and 1-2 day a week to work. My daily beater is an Eagle Talon turbo AWD 121K miles, hand-me-down from wife. We bought her a 97' Lexus SC400 w/30k miles on it when she graduated from college 2 months ago. Just got the NSX 12 days ago...I am still getting use to the Comptech clutch and flywheel combo.

Weekend car, and 1 or 2 days to work each week. Each day I don't drive it is a victory of willpower.... :D

My NSX suppose to be a weekend car but I tend to drive it more than my daily driver which is a beatup 1990 civc ex

Like Autophile said each day I don't drive the NSX it is a victory of willpower.

My 92 has 40k miles on it. The car never leaves the garage if there is rain or snow. I put about 1000 miles on it a year.

Are you guys masochists or something? What's with this denial attitude? As someone on Prime said a long time ago "do you only kiss or have sex with your spouse/significant other on the weekend"? Life's too short .. the cars too enjoyable .. to put yourself through this. I just don't get it unless you just bought it as driveway jewellry or drive 30K miles a year.
My car is not only a daily driver but an all-season driver as well...about 10-12K miles a year. Doesn't matter how bad my day gets .. the ride home puts a smile back on my face.

Like I said, I take the key to the NSX over the MR2 anytime, even though the MR2 is suppose to be my DD/track vehicle.

Oh, I enjoy driving my car too. I guess I just like to limit its use, to make each time out that much more special. Kind of like wearing a dress watch for special events. I suppose I do regard the car as a bit of jewelry... yet the fact that the car is built with the strength and quality to be a daily driver is truly icing on the cake. :D

I got my 91 NSX about 1 1/2 years ago, drive it as much as I can during the driving season here in WI April - October. It has about 64K mi. on it now. The rest of the time I drive a 02 Accord LX with about 15K miles, its a gutless wonder but hey it's a Honda do I have to say more.

My 96 NSX (<25,000 miles) is a daily drive when the weather is good. Actually, I do not get much use on the weekend---as I flip into Dad and family mode. 03 Lincoln Navigator and 02 Audi TT get the weekend and lousy weather chore.

Re: Is your cara daily driver or "weekend"car

My baby is a daily driver. Bought with 1400 miles. Has 43K. But I often use the Durango for grocery shopping, etc. It's really hard to pack all your groceries in the NSX, but it CAN be done.... just have bags hanging out my trunk ;)
