is the nsx your daily driver?

Absolutely NOT! It's way too nice a car to use on junk street miles, a straight freeway, to and from work. I save it as a weekend treat, like savoring a special exotic dessert after a routine meal. This way I don't get jaded, and it remains something very special.

Absolutely NOT!

WHY NOT? You didn't marry your wife to kiss her only on the weekends did you?

What if you die tomorrow? Then you won't be able to savor your weekend treat.

Yo Andy,

Like I said, I don't want to get "jaded!" It's like an opiate drug: once you're used to getting it every day, you'll seek the next higher thing. It's about being satisfied with the wonderful things one has, rather than continuously looking over the fence at the greener grass. If I get used to my NSX, I may start craving a 360 for example, which I can't afford. This is called "controlling one's coveting of better things material." I've chosen to stop at the NSX experience, which is my driving dessert.

Not yet ... I'm selling my Legend. Once it is sold, my NSX will be my daily driver. I'll try it for the summer and if it is not what I want, I'll get a 65 Mustang GT Fastback as my daily driver.

I agree with NSXY's theory. I worry that after a while, driving the X daily just doesn't feel special anymore. That would really kill my joy. Driving it is a treat and not a routine. That I like.

I have been keeping my X in prestine condition at all time. I just can't stand driving an exotic car that is dirty after the rain or a santa ana wind storm.

At the end of the day, we just do whatever floats our boats. There is no right or wrong. So why try to change someone else's opinion.
