Is oil pump pump part of any service maintenance?

Is the oil pump part of any service maintenance's?

I'm going to order a billet gear but was wondering if i should get it fitted to a used oil pump or if it would be a good idea to fit to a new oil pump?

I know water pumps are part of the 90k service but i can't see any where if the oil pump is or if it would ever needs to be replaced as part of a service?

apart from the gears blowing up, do the actual pumps degrade with years and mileage?

The gear IS the pump. No service required, only the upgrade could be done.
