Dear NSXCA club members!
The NSX Club of America Florida chapter invites all of you to attend the 57th Sebring 12 hour scheduled for Saturday March 21st with the green flag dropping at 1030am. There have significant changes to the program since last year so here's the update.
Due to financial restraints Acura has cancelled their car corral program. I am in contact with American LeMans directly to determine if the parade laps and car corral parking that we had last year can be arranged with separate sponsorship. This will take some time.
However, in the meantime, I have contacted the manager of the Four Points Sheraton (the former Chateau Elan Sebring) and he has has put together a great VIP package for our group as follows:
1) parking in the hotel lot (we will park together as a group)
2) full access to the lobby and first floor of the hotel as well as the viewing area behind the hotel (turn 7)
3) OPEN BAR from 10am to 11pm the day of the race
4) breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel the day of the race
5) brunch Sunday morning
6) one day ticket for the race (gains you entry to the racetrack and racetrack vendors, viewing areas etc.)
You will also have day access to the pool and spa (spa services extra) if you desire. The race will be televised in the lobby bar area.
The total cost is $200 for the first person ($40 subsidy from the NSXCA), $240 for each additional adult which includes taxes and gratuities.
The deadline for signup and payment is February 16th, 2009. To register and pay, please
1) send a check made out to Wei-Shen Chin for $200 for the first person, $240 for each additional person. 2207 Lakeside Dr., Orlando, FL 32803
2) Paypal $210 for the first person, $250 for each additional person to
[email protected]
Childern under 10 are free (up to one child per paying adult).'
If you have interest in staying overnight in or around Sebring, please include this request in your Paypal messager or contact me via email if you are sending a check. If there is enough interest I will look into a hotel room block about 1 hour north of the track on US27 or in Sarasota where we stayed last year.
For 2009, the ONLY time you will see the new Acura LMP-1 and Audi LMP-1 cars competing against each other in ALMS is in this event. Audi is not running the rest of the season. Acura is also running LMP-2. For details, see
www.sebringraceway.com.
I hope to see many of you at the race!
Wei-Shen Chin
