I saw on the ads and it seem to me that Blue color NSX price is much lower than the red one.
Is the color not popular?
What's your opinion?
Thank you

Most colors don't demand a premium OR a discount in pricing. Acura did a pretty good job of matching supply to demand.

Monte Carlo Blue, as it happens, is one of the two colors that MAY demand a PREMIUM (selling prices higher than most other colors). You may also find this with Sebring Silver.

The one color that seems to sell at a slight discount is Midnight Pearl.

It's possible that the examples you're looking at don't fit this pattern. But in general, I would not expect the prices to be lower for Monte Carlo Blue.

Lud can offer you some insight into the market, since he took quite a while finding his. I believe he found a number of Monte Carlo Blue cars that were not in great shape.

If the price is "much lower" for any NSX vs. another, it isn't because of the color.

As nsxtasy mentioned, if they are in good condition, monte carlo blue and sebring silver seem to frequently go for a premium over other colors.

Automatics also seem to go for a bit less than manuals in general, but just a bit.

I know of two monte carlo blue cars for sale right now that are very cheap. They both have salvage titles. Make sure about the history of the car if the deal seems too good.

Hi SteveNY
The price is $55,000 for a 1997 NSX-T model, manual. What do you think?
Do you have more information on the 2 cars you mentioned, VIN, or where they are located?
Thank you

I searched to find my Monaco Blue (lighter than the Monte Carlo). I get lots of compliments on the color and would expect to eventually sell it for a good price, not because of the color, but because I keep in in flawless condition.

Occasionally I wonder if I should have bought a Red or Black, but all I have to do is go to the garage and feast my eyes on my Zainoed "candy apple blue" baby and those thoughts quickly disappear.

http://www.autobrokersintl.com/ this place is in Miami. They have several wrecked nsx's. The blue one says clean, rebuilt. I saw this car before it was rebuilt.. hit pretty hard in the rear. It a 98 targa asking 60k. the 96 seems to be a pretty good deal. Lud maybe you can get some of these vins for the crash and burn section? The other one I mentioned was sold over the weekend. I have rebuilt many salvage cars. The best advice I can give you is don't buy one rebuilt. If you must save money buy one crashed and build it yourself or have it rebuilt, but don't buy one that someone else has done unless they have EXTENSIVE photos of the job. The ONLY way to make $$$$ on a rebuild is to cut some corners. Totaled means it will cost 2/3 the value to repair. I always put cars back together the best I can, but I use used parts etc... I also only put cars back together that I am going to drive myself, I don't do it for a business. Its more like a hobby. I often only break even on these deals. But I also get to drive a lot of different cars. I am currently working on a 2002 Audi a6 Quattro that a tree fell on. I am welding on a new roof and installing all new glass and a drivers side mirror. The car has 200 miles on it. I will have a total of 16k in it when it is done. Drive it through the winter and sell it in the spring. Any one interested in buying it?

BTW>> be very careful if you do buy a Florida salvage car. You can really get taken on the paperwork. Also the Florida dealers seem to have less scruples.
