Thought I would share one of my random life observations.
The benefits list of EFA supplementation is quite long. Aside from the normal benefits that most people talk about, I thought I would mention one of the interesting side-effects I am experiencing which was unexpected... extremely fast hair growth!
I get my hair cut once every 4 weeks and generally keep it short. Having lived by this pattern for many years, I have a very good feel for my normal hair growth rate and how long my hair usually is when it's time for a cut.
I started supplementing with EFA's 4 months ago for their general health benefits. I have been using flax seed oil and blend oils like Udo's Choice at 2 tablespoons a day(1 in the am, 1 in the pm). The 'hair growth rate' effects were somewhat noticable in the first 4 week period, but have become undeniable in successive moths. My hair is literally growing twice as fast as it used to, which was already a relatively fast growth rate. EFA's have many skin benefits, so it's not difficult to understand that it would also affect one's hair. Facial hair growth does not seem to be affected greatly, mainly just the hair on my head.
