I'm still waiting for someone in this board to interject and say "Do a search!"

After all, this insurance thread has been COVERED before... ;)

This is getting ridiculous. New topics get re-opened about insurance rates more than any other subject.

Remember the "search" function - it's your friend. :D And it can find you such golden oldies as...

Finally, to quote Mr. nsxtasy:

"Rates are going to vary depending on company, state, town, age, driving record, coverages and limits, etc.

There's a very easy way to find out how much it will cost for you to insure an NSX. Just call your insurance company and ask. They can tell you, even without you having to buy the car. Or you can check an online service such as http://www.insweb.com"

How is that, Joel? Does it put an end to your wait? :D

Ok, here's my 2 cents....
Try putting it in your name with a different Insurance Company. I pay about $175 for full coverage on my NSX and Integra and this was when I was 22. But, I think it would be more expensive for just the NSX alone, something like $190 because it would be classified as my main car.
Good Luck

these payments you mentioned are for 6month? per month? and what kind of coverage are you getting.

even full coverage differs between people.
250/500/1000 deductible? uninsured motorist coverage? and for how many miles per year?

liability alone on my other "old" car is around 170/year for about 8k miles a year.

re

Shop around for rates... I just got a quote from my ins co. for 450/year full coverage.. Thats with 250/500 deductibles and 100/300/100 coverage.. This is my 2nd/3rd car on the policy, but i'm assuming everyone has other daily commuter cars...

I was pleasantly shocked to find that this car is cheaper to insure then my 911 c4 which cost me 900/year full coverage..

My advice is to shop around.. You don't have to go with the BIG name companies like Geico, and Nationwide..

question for the two 19 year olds.

How exactly do you have that kind of money? not trying to bash or ride you or anything, just wondering if its like wealthy family, killer job (if so do you mind me asking what?) inheritance, ect.

Just curious, none of my business if you dont want it to be.

And I think I be needin a new insurance co. im no nsx owner but my friggen 2001 neon SE costing like 200 a month and I have no points or anything.

Even sadder all the online quotes are even more expensive, in the 300/month range? wtf is going on here.

And that is the second most frequently re-opened new topic that has already been discussed to death.

Do a search on the "off-topic forum".
