dont think about it...get the Taitec GT LW....

Ok, I have to ask - why is the GT LW better than the JGTC Parallel? You have compared both I guess. I am pretty torn between the two - but I have noticed the unbridled enthusiasm people seem to have for the GTLW. I was leaning toward the JGTC simply because SoS said it was louder. Appreciate the help.

No, it is not better, there is no one exahust that is definitely better than other. You need to hear both exhausts in person to decide which is better for you. If price is no objective, Gruppe M version 1, 2, 3or ARC Titanium would my personal top choice over GTLW.

As for performance I have done 0~120mph run in my 92 NSX with intake/GTLW, basic weight reduction vs 02 NSX/6spd, with JGTC exhaust no intake. The 02 NSX had half car jump off the line as I launched without slipping the clutch, however from 60~120mph, I started to pulling away and lead until we let off at 120mph. It was during a NSX cruise so a few nsx owners witnessed the entire run

Is the power gain really noticable?
Yes, according to my butt dyno it is very noticeable, but I don't trust seat of pants dynos, as it is mostly psychological, the butt dyno could also be more sensetive on certain days.

I did however had the car dynoed at Autowave, they probably dynoed more NSXs than anyone else in the nation. Below is the before/after dyno result from my NSX.

The actual dyno result is probably 1 million times more accurate than any seat of pants dyno

270rwhp out of a mostly stock car is nearly unheard of. You must have a very strong motor.

Those of you with experience with both Taitec GTLW and JGTC which crackles and pops like a race car more when letting off the gas? or do either?

I had some sick race exhausts on my past M3's and they sounded very aggressive so trying to figure out which is best for me. Thanks

GTLW does not crackle or pop...

gruppe m or taitec....choose either one based on your budget and taste

Check the last issue of NSX Driver. The product reviewed is this same Taitec GT Lightweight. And my GTLW sometimes crackles when I let off of the throttle. Sounds like a pissed off angry beast.

My anytime does that too though a lot more when the SC is on it.

Ive got the Taitec JGTC and I adore it. Ive only heard at GTLW once, and liked its sound; never heard the two back to back.

In my JGTC I would say that I have NO drone. Not to say that is a quiet exhaust, because it is definately not :D, but there is none of the headache providing resonating that is associated with coming off the gas or coasting with other exhausts.

My old S2000 had an Invidia exhaust and while the on the gas sound from that exhaust was intoxicating, I drove with the silencers most of the time because the drone was horrific.

My JGTC silencers are still wrapped in plastic after a full summer of driving. Id say that if you do not like drone, you should probably choose a JGTC over a GTLW based upon my experiences and the above comments from some GTLW owners.

Ok Jack and company. How the heck did you get that crazy crazy bolt on the curved adapter pipe. I been working on it for the last 3 nights (about 3 hours a pop) in my garage and I am not making making any progress. Pissing me off!

I am using the slightly bent bolt, still not working for me. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I am about to jump out the window.

FINALLY!!!! %$#$%&

Well I guess the car didnt like the idea of zip tying those flanges, because thats what I was about to do  , when it finally by an act of God, it went in.

Lined right up, one sits a tiny tiny bit higher than the other, but after getting that bolt in, I dont care.

Started her up ... ooooh neat nice little grumble. Drove it around for a bit, yay! nice little grumble. Decided to mash it, oh neat .. nothing short of  MG! Talk about LOUD!!! REAL LOUD!!!! DAM ITS LOUD!!! Freakin screams after 5k.

Running with Gruppe Air Filter and one of those side vent sucker thingies.

Seat dyno says feels great! but the car was sitting in my garage for a week waiting for a bolt to go on so tough to tell.

Now time to find a job.

Is this a problem with the install on the JGTC as well or only the GTLW?

bolt is an issue cause of the adapter pipe. the bend in the pipe is at a sharp angle and makes it near impossible to get the bolt in.

Congrats! glad you like it:) it is fun to set off alarms in the parking lot lol.

I think my driver side pipe is higher as well.

lets just put it this way, my wife even said, "damn that sounds nice"....shes not even into this kind of stuff

My 2 cents, this comment is worthless, because wife/girl friend/ ur...all female said that looking for in return of:

1. what, you are not fat!!
2. That dress looks nice on you
3. Go ahead, take my card and go shopping
4. a diamond ring, necklace, ear ring etc, or all of the above.
5. Damn, you are hot.....

Sorry, but

Back on topic: I have the Taitec JGTC, I loved the exhaust sound a lot, but then I believed it's really on the loud side. I also second that there's no droning.
