Installed my Taitec GT

Well, finally got the taitec installed. It took us about 2 hours because we could not get the old bolts off. I liquid wrenched them to death and they still would not come off. Finally two of them broke off, so we had to get some new bolts. Once the old exhaust was off, the taitec went on in about 15 minutes.

Initial impressions. It is much louder than stock, but in a good way. It sounds great at high RPM and tough at low RPM.

Exhaust Bolts

Has anybody tried "KROIL" penitrating oil? I find it works better but really smells.

Did you install headers also? Is your exhaust tips lined up on each side or is it off by an inch?

Congrats on your new exhaust. It sounds a bit familiar to the one I have under the car. Looks like were are having a Taitec-invasion lately....
Are you planning to dyno your car with the new exhaust ?
Also, did you weigh the exhaust before putting in on. Am always interested in how much weight is gained or lost after fitting after-market parts.

Well, after driving the exhaust for the weekend, I would say the car is noticeably faster in high-rpm. And that is at 109 degree, I cant wait to see when it is only 80 out!

no mind trick.. it is pulling harder.. i promise. I also changed the air filter, so that might have free'd up some more power..but non likely very much.
