Had new Bilsteins from Dali Racing installed on my '91 yesterday..Wow what a difference..The stock shocks were original with 58k miles on them...As others have mentioned, you really can't tell how far your shocks have degraded until you slap on a new set...The car feels so much more stable at high speeds and in high g corners...At normal cruising the ride is super smooth..Also impressed with how well the Bilsteins ride over rough pavement.

Any change in ride height? Also interested in total price installed.

DaveJP, exact same impression when I changed my OEM for Bilsteins after 50k miles. :D
Me too, but I'm quite convinced that it's because the original ones had degraded. I bet I would have felt the same way if I had replaced them with new stock shocks. In fact, what I like about the Bilsteins is exactly what I like about the stockers: they are comfortable on the street, and they are firm when the car is pushed hard, such as on the track. (I just expect the Bilsteins to last longer than the stock ones.)

Of course I was also biased by having swapped from quite worn OEMs... but I still think that the Bilstein are a little stiffer than new OEMs would be.

At least on the lower position...

For european Bilstein lovers: You get them here in Germany at the regular Bilstein dealers (only homologated for NA-1-, but suits NA-2 too) - don't know the actual price, but mine were a lot cheaper 4 years ago than US imports (still working fine after heeavy track use).

I paid $535 for the set from Dali. The installation cost me $600 with an alignment included.

$600 for install + align?!??!! ouch.
I recall paying a lot less (at least $200 less) getting that done at Hilltop Auto...

I suspect the difference is in their hourly rates, more so than the time spent to do the job...

Yeah, $600 is a little steep, but the shop I use does excellent work..Very meticulous and they take great care of my car...The guy is a driver/instructor and he specializes in high performance vehicles. Also, the labor quote from my Acura dealer was $795.

On the lower perch in the Bilstein, I went down 2,2 cm for OEM height. That is arounf 4/5 of an inch... installation/alignement was charged 4 hours.

Do you have any pictures of the car with the Bilsteins installed on the lower perch? I would like to see how the car sits with the springs installed on the low perch.

Thanks, Paul

Wow! Looks great! That is a perfect drop. I lowered my Accord 6-speed with Eibach's and love the look. I think that the Bilsteins
on lower perch are the way to go with the NSX.

what? wow that is alot of money for install

I paid only 150 for install..

now I can do them myself, cause i have afriend with a spring compressor!
