Does anyone have know the installation cost for Bilsteins or shop recommendation.

I was quoted $650 this afternoon, doesn't this seems a bit high?

if this is with the Bilstein shocks thats not a bad deal
I had Bilstein shocks installed in my Audi TT and it was about $300 in labor

Yeah, that better not be for labor only. I have a hydraulic compressor if you want to borrow it, but I'm up near LAX.
Yes, it is for "labor" only:frown:

Thanks a lot for the offer, that is super nice:smile:

$650 sounds high. I paid $400 up here in NorCal and that included a four wheel alignment. Most people report paying $300-$400 for labor.

Take it to Jon Martin at Cerritos Acura.

How much to install JIC Coilover and Dali Sways?

I got mine installed at Team Spugen for about $220 I think. When I watched him do it, it didn't seem to be much different than installing springs/shocks on a Honda Civic, but I don't know.

Morning guys have a good day.

I highly recommend JM. He's not going to be the cheapest in town but he does it right at a fair price.

i installed mine for free... it was about 3hrs though... all you need is a jack, 17mm, 12mm, and i think 14mm... in and out just like that... but i know it will cost me to get them tuned though....

As much as I like to take it to JM, he is just too far for me to go and wait 4-6 hours doing nothing. Any closer to me, 91701 ???

That is why, as much I like to joint you guys for OC runs, it is hard for me. at least 1- 1.5 hr each way to the meeting area.

And monthly meetings, I love them, but traffic on 55 and 405 kills me

For what it's worth, John is about an hour and a half from me and with some patience on my behalf he was able to provide me with a loaner car (TL) to take some of the pain out of coming that far.

Finally, and take this for what it's worth, last year I took my car to a "highly reputable" shop that works on a lot of NSX's and was quite a bit closer to me than John was (he wasn't at Cerritos then and was even further away from me). I'm not going to publically dispariage them but I will say that I ended up having to have John fix something that they didn't do completely right and learned later that the climate control/aspirator fan noise and slow drivers window issues that they considered normal and not fixable were, of course, completely fixable if you know what you're doing. I kind of look at it as they are great for 80% of the work if you're not really all that concerned about getting it 100% right vs. 95% right. I'm not that way and so the inconvenience of John Martin is worth it to me to have things fixed right.

BTW - I've got nothing against the other shops mentioned and in fact, I recall very good things about Ricardo at Team Spugen from a few years back when I had my S2000's. But for me, my car, and my money... right now John Martin is the man to see since Mark Basch is too far a drive.

For suspension work, I'll trust only West End. Darin's the man when it comes to suspension work. He's mastered his craft!
