Just found the concept interesting. They definitely have a unique look.
I realize they are easier to produce but I wonder what the weight/strength is as compared to woven fibers.

Curious to the tooling process!!!

From what I can tell, it's similar to how Mclaren is building the "tub" for the MP12c. A combination of a thermo injection molding and close mold infusion. it looks like some big chunks of carbon fiber tow.

This is an awesome video from Mclaren. If you look at ~15:30 you can see the tooling.
