On several ocassions, we've discussed the merits of late model (1997+) coupes. It seems that very few were imported. The production numbers in the FAQ show that 4 were produced in 1997, and 5 were produced in 1998.

I thought it might be interesting to start an informal count of coupe owners on NSXprime. So, if you own a 1999, 2000, or 2001 Coupe, including Zanardi, please share your car's color combination (including roof color)and any other interesting info.

As for me, mine is a 2001, red, black roof and and black interior.

BTW, coupes that were formally Targa's with welded on roofs -- especially blue ones, don't count

The NSX Club of America has 350 current or former members with a 1997+ NSX. Of these:

321 NSX-T (including 6 claiming to be an NSX Coupe but with a VIN for an NSX-T)
19 NSX Zanardi
5 NSX Coupe with corresponding VIN
5 claiming NSX Coupe but without a VIN

From Ken's club statistic, looks like some people referred to their NSX-Ts as coupes. Which is a general term for two-door car. Maybe we should refer to the Non-T as hardtop from now on.

When the fixed roof version was sold alongside the NSX-T for 1996-2001, all of Acura's materials referred to it as the NSX Coupe.

The use of the word "coupe" can be a little confusing for some -- although NSXTASY is exactly right about Acura's literature. I sometimes call the coupe a "fixed roof", but that term is not correct either. The problem with calling it a "hard top" is that the term is commonly used in the automobile world to describe a solid, detachable roof for use on a convertible during the winter months.
