Just wanted to remind you local N Cal trackies how nice Sears, oops Infineon is.The weather, man oh man,the surface is smooth smooth, and consistant grip, all over.Turn 11 was fun with plenty of room for some throttle over-steer! It truley is a rythm track.I want to thank the local bmw guys who helped me learn the line,Navid and Troy.I enjoyed chasing Navid in his m3,as well as my comrad Pete; and being chased by a red viper and big winged green porsche.I actualy caught up to Andrie only to find out later his vtec had quit!lol.I had very enthusiastic students and all in all the school went very well considering the logistics.Jim was a very attentive chief instructor as well. And just as its starting to come together and our right seat passengers are giggling away ...its all over and I'm back at work on the East coast,oh well.I'll have great memories of a wonderful two days playing with fellow track enthusiasts and our beloved nsx!btw turning in late for 2 made avoiding that turned around rx-7 at track out fun, esp. for my copilot the Don!Anyway Pete and I look forward to showing you guys around the Glen in 04.Oh almost forgot,,the nsx loves turn 10!

Glad you liked it

No reminder necessary. We’ll be back on it 3 weeks from Saturday. Enjoyed watching you visiting hot-shoes take to our playpen so well.

Turn 11 was fun with plenty of room for some throttle over-steer!

Definitely fun but very hard to be precise and consistent there. Having paint with no curbs allows a guy to try all kinds of stuff, and sometimes, I end up getting lost in there.
And how did you like 7? Plenty of room to play and more than one good line through there too.

It truley is a rythm track.

So busy I forget to check my gages quite often. Also, it's hard to really get good at this track because we can’t get on it as much as Laguna, Thunderhill and the rest.

anyway, kudos to Hrant for scoring this date. It took all the schmooze juice he could muster.

Hey DocJohn, it was good to see you again at the track. I was really dissappointed for not being on the track with you guys.
Anyways, what exhaust did you have? It was quite louder than any other side-exit exhausts I've heard in the past.

There is no way you could pass the sound limits at Laguna Seca with that setup.

He has the Taitec lightweight with DC headers.

He got black flagged at Lime Rock in June because of exceeding their limits of 89db. He was measured at 91db in the downhill.

Damn, thats loud.
I have Taitec Lightweight, but I have OE manifolds... I am planning to get headers soon too.
I'm gonna be even more of a cop magnet I guess.

Well I,m pretty sure the loudness, which I percieve as a beautiful noise;) is in part due to the use of "test pipes" of which I"m not sure what is being tested other than the sound tolerance of bystanders, lol.actually I like the noise at large thottle apps but if you short shift quickly and don't rev above 4k it can sound like nuclear flatulance!

Totally. I like the sound too. I'll be doing the headers and likely use the "test" pipes for track events.

From Maria

Yes, DocJohn, I agree Infineon was a great/fun track :) I enjoyed pretty much...the entire track. But, I must say my favorite turns were probably between 4 and 6, where I was full throttle to the top of the hill at 6. That was fun :D I must also thank Todd in the yellow Porsche for a great ride and showing me a nice/fast line (better than the line my official Saturday instructor was trying to show me), and thanks to Tony C. my Sunday instructor who was awesome.

And, to Andrie...I was looking forward to playing with you some more (with you in the "B"black car, of course - so I could keep up ;) , I mean, try to keep up) until we saw interesting traffic and I ran out of gas. That was also fun :D

I can't wait to learn and kick b... at Watkins Glen. Oh, that's right never mind, I'm only a girl  DocJohn, will you show me?

Maria
