I am thinking of doing a little modifications, but the NSX is so expensive to mod.

What are some of the most inexpenise, but effective mods?

Whether it be brakes, acceleration, etc..?

The most common I've seen are
---NOS (500-600)assuming you do the install.
---Intake K&N intake(35-175)
---Exhaust(500-1800,CAT BACK ONLY.w/ headers double that figure)
---Wheels (assuming the ones you have are not light)in most cases the oem ones are very light "but" this is incrimental and worth it for some to "free up lost horsepower".
----Crossdrilled rotors (the ones that fit factory calipers) approx (400)
-----Braided stainless lines (100)inreased brake feel.
Theres a few to start..
I'm sure theres much more ,but I gotta fly WWW.MYNSX.COM

High Performance Driving Event - in other words, learning how to really drive the car at the track with a club track event or through a more formal high performance driving school

Why do you want to mod the car?

Or, in other words, what is it about the car that you don't like or are having problems with?

If you like everything about it and aren't having problems, there is no need to modify it at all.

If there's something you don't like, you should select mods that address that area.

Turn off the A/C and TC. free and fun.

Intake, headers, exaust no cats, NOS, Carbotech pads, all for a couple grand. Well worth it IMO.

I guess after NSXPO, I will have a better understanding of what is available. I have only ever driven a stock NSX, so I have nothing to compare with.

I would love to do a HPDE, but there are NONE ever close to where I live.

The only thing I am really thinking of doing is adding the SOS HID kit because the NSX lights at night I find are just not that great. I think my civic put out more light.

My favorite nearly free ones:
- remove weight/see FAQs (especially from the driver)
- ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid
- Remove brake sheilds for cooling
- 93 octane gas
- Sway bar collers

My favorite damn cheap ones (less then $300 and/or less them OEM replacement):
- RM Street/Track pads
- Brembo OEM rotors
- Stainless brake lines
- Dali sway bars
- Dali hot chip
- Dali SmartTenna/SmartShift/SmartTCS
- K&N OEM replacement air filter
- Alpine MP3 CD changer replacement (about to do this one)

The track event at NSXPO is an HPDE event. BTW, Lud, HPDE usually stands for "High Performance Driver Education".

Well I guess "usually" depends who you do track events with. Many people/groups, including NASA, use it to mean Driving Event, not Driver Education. Sometimes it is also used to mean Experience. I don't think it's that big deal... they all mean roughly the same thing, though Event or Experience are probably more accurate for anything that does not provide EVERY driver with formal instruction or coaching.

I've heard it used specifically as HP Driver Education, by folks who DO make the distinction you mention, and use the term only to refer to events where every driver gets formal instruction and coaching. I have never heard it used to describe events such as lapping days, where no instruction is available, or to competition events such as club racing. It's a valid distinction and one that is inherent in the words "Driver Education".

^ Don't do this. NSX wasn't made for NOSing.

---Intake K&N intake(35-175)
^ this won't increase HP at all... it allows hot air to get back through.
only benefit is sound.

---Exhaust(500-1800,CAT BACK ONLY.w/ headers double that figure)
^ This is ok, but you won't get much HP unless you do headers too.

---Wheels (assuming the ones you have are not light)in most cases the oem ones are very light "but" this is incrimental and worth it for some to "free up lost horsepower".
^ You can't free up lost horsepower with wheels. some wheels will allow you to fit big brake kits
and also you can experiment with different tire sizes.

----Crossdrilled rotors (the ones that fit factory calipers) approx (400)
^ this is bling bling only. Don't do this.

-----Braided stainless lines (100)inreased brake feel.
Theres a few to start..
^ this is good, but you should be fine with factory line until you go to the racetrack often.

What I would mod first.

1. HPDE
2. remove engine cover, spare tire
3. H&R Spring + Koni or TEIN suspension
4. steering wheel
5. brake pads

I uses only 94 too.. I wonder where can I get the 100s?

CORRECT YOU WILL INCREASE THE GAINS BY 2/3
IF DO BOTH (DOUBLE THE PRICE BUT MORE THAN DOUBLE THE GAINS

SIMILAR TO THE ROTATING MASS FACTS ASSOCIATED
W/ UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS AS WELL AS LESS WIEGHT,INCRIMENTAL AS I SAID BUT ":FOR SOME" THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNING AND LOSING.

POSSIBLY BUT YOU ASKED FOR "INEXPENSIVE MODS"
ON THE OTHER HAND YOU CAN ORDER THE BREMBO KIT INSTALLED "LOCK,STOCK,BARREL" 6000.00-6500.00
-----Braided stainless lines (100)inreased brake feel.

Around here in hickville USA "filling up the tank" means something like this:
