Hi Im in Toronto,
interested in buying a NSX, black color preferred and MT,
doesn't want too many mods on it. 100,000km or less. no accidents.
wants to pay about 20k or more depend on condition.
Let me know what you have, thanks everyone.

dont think you'll find any nsx in toronto for that kind of price your asking..unless its like in the worst shape you can find..

i think the majority of people goto the states to buy cause our dollar is close to parity and the selection of cars is a whole lot better down south

thanks for the input, I am also thinking about importing one from japan or U.S. but first I want to know what we have in Canada then I can see the car it is easier.

With a Budget of $20K you will not find a NSX in Canada....In the states you will be buying a Salvage title Junk.

In Japan they are not that Cheap either..

Good Luck

Bram

Here is one in Edmonton that meets your requirements... Except price. I went to take a look at this car. It is a bit beat up, especially the interior. You need to adjust your price expectations:

PS:: they just dropped the price $5,000

gotta love that stealth look man it looks good in the pictures but pricey for such a high mileage nsx mind you its an na2 nsx but still for that kind of money i would think you could go down states side and pickup a prime example na2 nsx for the same amount...

also is this a Canadian car? is the mileage in km or miles if its a canadian car i guess the mileage isnt that much

I'm in Toronto too and have been looking for 3-4 months now without much luck. In the price range, you might want look at this one http://nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1418081 (looks like it was bumped off the market place). I didn't physically see the car, but he has all the information and the car checked out against all the major questions (snap ring, windows, ccu, etc.)

To give you an idea of what I have encountered locally (for the record they weren't listed on Prime):
'93 red/blk - 119K km - $37K - panels didn't look straight
'95 red/blk - don't recall the mileage - $32K - pure nightmare
'91 blk/blk - low from what I remember - $45K - very clean; requires the major service if I remember
'95 red/blk - under 50K km - $39K - some questionable history that I dug up

Good luck

i wonder as time passes if there will be a time when finding a perfect condition nsx would be next to impossible ...

but ive heard of stories here on prime of people spending years to research and actually find that perfect nsx....time and patience i guess

thanks guys, I just think spending 30-40k for early 90s NSX is kind of expensive. But I guess that's the market right now. The price really stayed high and did not depreciate much.
Anyway, will keep looking, maybe from Japan or U.S.

i'm having the exact same issue.

there is a gentlmen on kijiji from barrie ontario with a 91 nsx black 6xxxxkm that he'll let go for 40 cdn. from what i know it is 100% MINT.

with that said tho, almost every nsx i've went to see in person in toronto has been imported from the united states.

i figure that is due to the cost-effectiveness of that option.

it is expensive; as its possible to get some 997 911's @ low 40s; and without a reasonable amount of work to the pre 2002+, an nsx can look like an older, dated car imho.

i've seen the same older nsx's up on sale on ebay and the trader in the cdn market for ever and ever and ever. in those cases for the older nsx's that take forever to sell (or currently haven't still sold) the asking price is too high; esp due to it a very small niche market + when compared to the prices to those south of the border. especially during these economic times and and the strength of our dollar compared to the USD.

that doesn't stop me from looking for one of course!

nope. once again, US vehicle judging from speedometer.

for 60k, the interior of that car is in terrible condition.

with unappealing financing options im going to bet that nsx will take some time to sell ....

Im in Toronto also and I bid $20,0001 for an NSX, prefer black, no accident, manual, prefer NA2 and prefer 02+ over 97-01. Id like it to be supercharged also with full service history and I hope that it has 99% rubber left. There is a yellow one in Winnipeg that is pushing 10 years now; think he will sell it to me for my price? It is getting old!!!

If that fails, maybe I will splurge for a 2005 Civic at $25k. VTEC POWER!

now your ex-car sir for the year, modifications, condition and asking price presented great value imo.

The difficult thing with potential new owners is that they seem to think the NSX is like every other 20 year old Honda. :)

The concern I have for this prospective buyer with such a tight budget is if he stretches and gets a very rough one for $25k, he'll have nothing left for the unavoidable maintenance and repairs a car like that will need.

I have never said this before, but the buyer needs to allocate significantly more $$$, or shop for a different car.

The most expensive NSX you can buy is the cheapest one for sale.

Excellent quote Sean.....anyone that is currently looking for an NSX should keep this quote for most in their mind.

Also take your time, half the fun was trying to find the right one. I seriously looked for a good year and half before I found the one I wanted. if you can up your budget to around 30000-35000 you should eventually come across the perfect car for you. Sean is very correct as I looked at a couple of `cheaper' cars and realized pretty quickly that they were going to need a lot of initial costs to get them up to speed.
I bought mine in Ohio from another primer and drove it back....still so far the best drive I have ever done.

If you can find an NSX for 20k, let me know... and I'll buy it for 25k. You wont find an NSX that matches your description for less then 30-35k minimum. Just a heads up.

I just don't feel justified paying 30,000 for a nsx when I paid 10,000 for my fd3s and 12,000 for my gtr r32, they are all at the same performance level and age.
I do not think nsx is that much better, it looks very attractive though:smile:

The NSX market is different than the other cars you mentioned. In fact you can get some serious performance from other cars at the $30k price point, but none of them have hand built engines, all aluminium construction, low production #s etc.

I don't think your client is serious about an NSX if he's shopping at $20k.
